"Casual" Outfit

Actually, what I'd really like is to have a hooded travel cloak that you can drop the instant hostilities ensue. Just shift it off your shoulders into more of a cape or something, out of the way. Something to differenciate between combat and travel. Probably wouldn't be good for seemless transitions but I'd like it.

That being said, I would like the option to wear armor all the time.

I've heard those sleep incredibly comfortably.

But yes, more variety in casual clothes as well as wearing your armour. I disliked the fact my Warrior Hawke pranced about in a dress. :I

That robe in DA 2 was godawful.

Hawke's fantasy Hugh Hefner robe was really cool for around the house, but really didn't hit the spot for me. I never wore it outside Amell Manor.

Yeah, variety in casual wear would be nice. Also, if the game includes a cool leather jacket I insist that it doesn't magically turn into a sleazy retextured dress when I try it on a female character. Mass Effect 3 quite covered that function already, thank you.
No freaking joke. FShep would have put MShep to shame in that jacket. Similarly, FShep pulled off that dress* about as well as MShep would have (read: not even a little bit).

I think that the 'necklace' is marking his tan line.

Too true.
Though I have to give it to that dress, it kind of helped me to identify with Shepard more strongly. She looked about as lost and awkward in that dress as I would. I imagined she'd have to put that thing on every time she lost a bet to a crewmate and do a walk of shame around Normandy.

I know just what you mean! Sometimes you can learn as much about a character by what they can't pull off as what they can.Ria wrote...

I did the same thing with her I do at home. Go to the closet, try on that dress again, try to like it, feel like an idiot, take it off, and try to convince myself that sexy is an attitude and not a style of dress. Then put on whatever comfortable thing I always wear anyway. I could relate to that.
And considering she had half the crew vying for her attentions, it probably worked out fine.

She wore asari dresses on the Citadel in an attempt not to be recognised. Rarely worked.

What they could do is have the 2 equipment sets like they have, then have a 3rd casual set so that you can instantly change into any time with a single button press.

The other option would be to provide non-combat clothes as an in-game equippable, like Skyrim or DA:O. My Dragonborn was running around with a veritable clothing store by the end of my last playthrough

Lol I thought I was the only person who did this! XD
My femshep tried putting it on for that date for Kaidan on the Citadel but she just looked so awkward in it she winded up going in the N7 hoodie. xp
EDIT:
Oh, right Dragon Age. Yeah the robe thing was okay I suppose but for instance when you visited the Viscount at the start of Act 2 why would Hawke be wearing armor? MOAR casual dress is needed!

In DA2, only my mage Hawke ever like she was dressed in casual attire, but even she looked geared for war, since you couldn't remove your weapon (outside of the Hawke Estate).
I also want the ability to completely remove my weapons.

This would also mean Bioware wouldn't have to make a large variety, since we could personalize our wardrobe to fit our colour palate.

I'd very-much support a casual outfit. I had a few to choose from in Origins, but in DAII, I couldn't even unequip my danged weapon when wondering around the city!
If they keep that lousy 'permenantly welded on' weapon mechanic in DAIII I'll scream and scream and scream until I am sick!
