Sadly, Bioware appears to have abandoned the idea of fun minor characters like these. I can't think of a single example of this in DA2. You didn't even get to talk to merchants. They just stood there like statues while you helped yourself to their wares.

She sounded like a teenager in DAO, and since DA3 will take place around 10 years later; i would assume she would be around her mid 20s now.

You could talk to Solivitus. He was pretty cool. Not quite the depth of personality as Dagna, though.

In addition, with her encyclopedic knowledge of research into magic and her insight into enchantments and lyrium gleaned from her years in Orzammer, Dagna might be able to provide some unique insight into savants like Sandal.  Beyond that, I don't really care if I ever see her again.  Sandal better be in the story somewhere, though.

I seriously loved Dagna.  I loved the way she cataloged every book she'd ever read for you.  I usually don't get a mushy about random NPCs we know nothing about, but that chick was rad.  And she turned up in the epilogue, so you gotta think she was a little more important than the average side quest.  We should bump into her in a circle library somewhere.

I forgot about that guy!  He was amazing.  Wade and Herren still have my vote for best merchants though.  Talking to people was so much fun in DA:O.  Even the shop keepers had quirky backstories.

The epilogue has been rendered meaningless at this point, so I wouldn't take her appearance on it as indicative of anything.

Dagna should appear with [Bodahn] and Sandal. Their subplots easily seem to fit together.
