Sorry if this has been covered somewhere and if this is the wrong subforum for this. I've tried searching and have had no luck (maybe I'm searching for the wrong things Image IPB).

Anyway. I really like the More Hairstyles mod but I got it after I created all of my characters and have played through every origin up to Ostagar. In order to use the mod I would need to use a new game. I found out about morphing but I don't know how to get the mod into my toolset so I can morph my saved characters with the new hair.

Could someone tell me how to do this (add the mod to the toolset) or point me in the right direction, please?

Thanks to whomever relpies.

For that mod on the Part Selection when you open the pop-up to browse for a hairstyle at the bottom there is a drop-box labeled filter. Change it to the bottom selection, All Model Files.

The hairs don't render properly in the Toolset though. My workaround is to get a morph set up how I like and then set is a preset. I'll then go into the Character Creator, select my preset, and see which hair looks best.

You're getting the hairstyles to render properly in the Toolset itself?

To be clear the mod works in-game but AFAIK the hairs are selectable in the Toolset but the rendering is borked for some reason. I've asked the author but he doesn't know a solution as of a few days ago.

If you were able to fix it may I ask how?

In C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\Tools? or C:\\Users\\Username\\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Toolset? or within a subfolder within one of those?

Thanks.

I figured it out. Thanks.

From the New Hairstyles mod site:

"install the hairs as directed, then open up yer Toolset and do File/New/Morph. In Part Selection there is an option to select a hairstyle and you'll have to select "All model files" for search and you should see the new hairs in the list."

Ummm...yeah that info is up there in my first post.

If you download the latest version of the mod and extract it put the More_Hairstyles folder in

My Documents\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\packages\\\\\\\\core\\\\\\\\override

^ Is that what you mean when you say you don't know where to put the files? Or do you mean in trying to get them to render properly in the Toolset?

Getting them to render properly in the toolset. I can find them in the toolset but they look really weird. Are you saying they show up okay in game then?

Got it!!! I don't know why I needed to reread what everyone wrote here to get it, but I did and now I got it.

Thanks all.

Yes they show up fine in-game but are messed up in the Toolset. You can select the hairs but they won't render properly.

From the way the other person posted it made it sound like they had fixed Toolset issue but I'm thinking not. :(
