When 343 and microsoft made the movie Halo: Forward Unto Dawn. (or web series if you watch it on machinima) They spent a long time making sure everything fit the lore. You watch it and all does. I've watched interviews and making the film so newcomers would understand the background just as fans could enjoy it without it being bad lore wise or on how it feels. They worked on everything feeling true. And they got it right.

Isn't the idea behing paragon lost the same (except instead of real action anime)? To me the animation is what keeps me from watching it, but that can be taste. But having forced myself to watch this I can say the complains here are right. It feels like a badmade fanfilm, not an official movie. And wait, there's a fanfilm that even if using airsoft guns not loking at all like ME ones got more things right than this film apparently.

In one of the "Making of" videos I do believe, they mention how they wanted it to fit in the lore because they don't want to ****** anyone off by messing with what was established. This is a good thing.

Seems like everyone working on Mass Effect stuff says "Nah, no one would mind if we change things! Let's just cobble something together and sell it! To hell with finely crafting anything!'

If I remember correctly from a review, it pretty much ****s all over ME2 and makes it completely stupid.
