Haui Guyz,

A few days ago I noticed that about 50% of the time I try to use google, I get redirected to a spam page that obviously wasnt what I am looking for, and has the web address listed in numbers (I.E. 1.23.68.255). I ran Malware-bytes, and found that a lot of it came from a copy of GIMP I downloaded awhile back. Even though I cleared out everything bytes picked up, it is still happening. Any other suggestion?

I STRONGLY suggest getting an appropriate Anti-malware. Malwarebytes is okay and generally works, but most hijackers have gotten used to it and can usually work around it these days.

You also need to remove any add-ins associated with the malware you picked up, including the host program if the is installed.

Check carefully through your list of search engines to make sure something didn't get added to it.

I highly recommend manually emptying your your history, cookies, and Temporary Internet folder.

You should contact your anti-virus program web site for assistance on this issue.
