I thought that was Ortan Thaig. Wasn't there some kind of huge fire they set to get rid of the spiders and then they took shelter in some cave or building? Maybe I'm remembering a completely different scene though.Josielyn wrote...
I remember a couple of really cool sounding places in the deep roads that was mentioned in The Stolen Throne. The coolest sounding was like a little "oasis" where it was warm, there was an underground lake, and no taint (and no spiders) I wonder, is that place still there? Will we get a chance to explore the Deep Roads in DA3?
Anyway, I think the Deep Roads in Origins were designed really well, especially leading up to the Broodmother. I liked that moment of "holy crap, what is going on?" I'd love to see Kal-Sharok, if for no other reason than to hear them talk smack about Orzammar.

None. I've seen enough the Deep Roads to last me at least a couple of sequels. I need a Deep Roads break.
We do have Deep Roads breaks. Its called the wait between sequels.

Kal-Sharok would be super interesting to go to, whether the Dwarves there are particularly friendly to us or not.
Usually not a huge fan of the deep roads but Kal-Sharok is the one place I really want to see. I wouldn't mind going back to Orzammar either. I do enjoy the Dwarven cities.

I'd also like for the abandoned Deep Roads areas to look more like they have had a colony fallen into disrepair. Like Cadash Thaig, but bigger and a bit more like a town you could navigate through. And maintaining the aesthetic look of the carved Deep Roads areas in DAII.
If I had some pictures, I might be able to say which parts of DAII's Deep Roads I liked. Because it wasn't all good, but some of it looked good.

I would like to send troops down to the deeps roads to explore. I would pick from a Number of different areas of the deep roads to send them. Once they find something they either collet it if its some loot or they come get me if they find a sleeping old god or other trouble. Of course lots of other stuff can be found as well.
If they impliment this, I wouldn't mind going back down But not if they're going to use it as an excuse to kill someone off.

While I hated the Deep Roads... one of DA III's concept art should what seems to be an underground lake. So who knows?

One can easily envision a compelling economy-sim tied into the greater whole of the gameplay.
Regardless, becoming the paragon of a generation is freakin' badass.

Anyways, I'm all for some finding cool long lost hidden stuff underground, I don't really care if it is dwarven centric or not.
