I was using the Valiant sniper rifle in MP before I got the Carniflex. I would would prefer the Carniflex because it has 6 shots, is way lighter, has just as much power with a barrel mod and just as good of accuracy with a scope mod. However, I realized when fine aiming a pistol with a scope, the reticle speed is annoyingly slow. If I up my mouse speed, then hip aiming will be too fast.
Is there any mod, or tweak to adjust the fine-aim?
Why is fine-aiming a pistol with a scope so much slower than with a rifle? (PC)

Only thing I could think would do what you would like would be a mouse with variable sensitivity, so you could toggle between settings for unscoped and scoped.

thanks for the reply, that sounds like it could work. Do you have any idea if there is an application like this? It seems like it would be an easy application for someone to make, just something that would vary the mouse speed depending on whether or not a certain button was held down.
I was using GlovePie with an Xbox360 controller before I decided to just stick with the keyboard and mouse, and you could configure your aiming and fine aiming any way you wanted.
I don't understand why BioWare wouldn't allow for adjustments to things like this, they seem to be really stingy when it comes to options.

I don't know. My mouse has 4 DPI settings and isn't exactly convenient for what I was proposing since you cycle in one direction through them.
Maybe someone makes a program for that, I have no idea.

Thanks anyway, I figured out that it can be done with GlovePie.
If anyone is interested in being able to adjust their fine-aim speed, I posted the GlovePie script on pastebin.

The R.A.T mouse has a sniper button to reduce sensitivity when it's pressed. Not sure how well it works or how adjustable is it.

There could be a number of things at play, but I believe the Valiant's innate scope is much more powerful than the Pistol scope (you're zoomed in more), meaning you're going to actually move your aim the same amount, but it'll feel faster on the Valiant.
