So what do you think about creating two new branches/factions in the Chantry with different policies and means?

Hospitalers:
More restraint and tolerant, and have more peaceful policies to deal with mages.
A new faction in the chantry to solve and cure the hostilities between mages and templars to reach equilibrium and to content both sides (eventhough it seems improbable) using smart speeches and rules.

Fanatics:
More fanatic, less tolerant than average Templars and are torturers. They have harsh policies and kill every wandering mage on sight, unless they want him for inquisition. Their purpose is to lower the number of mages as much as possible in order to decrease the possibility of creating blood mages and abominations.
I like to call them 'Inquisitors' but another name will be preferable.

The interaction, competitions and events between These two groups alongside Templars, Gray Wardens, Lawful Mages and Blood Mages will make DA3 very interesting.

I would suggest a rename, since we know for a fact that our character will be an Inquisitor, so this pigeon holes us into working as a torturer, anti-mage role. Even if we have the option to be good, many people will hate that we are working with this organization in the first place.

A more liberal splinter faction of the Chantry, like the Lutherans were to the Catholics, would be an interesting idea, but I think DA3 has enough to be getting on with.

I don't think it matters if the Chantry has a "peaceful" or "hardline" stance on mages. It shouldn't be involved in mage affairs to begin with.
