*HOW TO FIX "THE LUCKY STONE" (XP USERS ONLY)*

I know there is lot of people having trouble to get in-game bonus item "The Lucky Stone".
I had the same problem, but i get rid of it just by sending one message to Bioware-support.

I decide to make help-topic which shows how you can get "The Lucky Stone" in Windows XP.

If you get error message "Unable to access your online profile storage / or timed out" during character upload in *CC or in the main game, this might help you. *CC = Character Creator.

(I heard your firewall might block next necessary ports that the game use, so you have
to add them yourself in the Windows XP firewall tab, and so you to get rid of the error message just as I, and get the ring.)

1. First, close the steam just in case. (Steam users only.)

2. Disable all software firewalls you have installed, hardware firewall is enough to protect your computer.

3. Now you have to open next firewall ports: 80, 8000 (tcp) and 80, 8001 (udp).

Follow next instructions to add the ports:

Click Start button on the right side of the desktop and choose settings and Control Panel.
Now left click Windows Firewall and go to exceptions tab.

Now add ports by following next example:

Name: BiowareportTCP
Port number: 80
TCP, and ok.

Name: BiowareportTCP2
Port number: 8000
TCP, and ok.

Name: BiowareportUDP
Port number: 80
UDP, and ok.

Name: BiowareportUDP2
Port number: 8001
UDP, and ok.

4. Close the exceptions tab and upload new character in cc.
*Remember that you have be logged in the same account as the main game! (EA / Bioware account.)

5. Start the game and log in that you can admire you Lucky Stone in the DLC menu!

Note:

You can safely delete your character that you just upload to get the ring, if you want to.
*Also, don't remove firewall ports even afterwards if you don't want that the warning message returns!

(*That don't cause any damage or character data lost, but it's just annoying.)
