What is the point of playing with the Saber when you have a Paladin?

RoF buff maybe? Gives it more of a semi-automatic rifle feel to it IMO.

Nothing like that, just a small noticeable boost in RoF.

I think they mean the recoil. Eg. i can't hit anything with a BW coz i can't handle the recoil, although for some odd reason i don't have any issues at all with recoil on Saber
Anyway, Saber > Paladin any day of the week.

It has quite a wide spread when fired at max ROF. For a supposed sniper in disguise, the Harrier, Typhoon, PPR, and various other, crappier ARs are better at getting long range consistent headshots - important against bosses.

Now if I am using a Paladin on a caster that may be a different story the wieght is negligable for the amount of damage, was able to BE and then one clip kill Brutes last night with my Fury and the Paladin on gold.

PPR is the best. I find the Harrier and Saber to be on par. Typhoon? Long range headshots? What is this magic.
Damage buff would do me. Add in a headshot modifier increase and I'm good to go.

You are now a fully indotrinated Sniper drone. Shame on you.Stardusk wrote...
It does not need a ROF boost. It needs less recoil and more damage.
The recoil is what makes the Saber fun to use. Take away that, and you have but a scope-less Valiant.
That's more like it.OniGanon wrote...
A buff to 100RPM would probably be good, actually. Higher DPS, but you'd have to wrestle with more recoil and less accuracy if you want to make the most of it.

It's still my favorite weapon, honestly.

That is the problem, as it is, it kicks into the air, add more ROF, even more recoil. I am not saying zero recoil but a good chunk less would go a long way.

I don't think it has much recoil at all on a ROF Hunter Mode GI with no Stability mod/gear. You can drag the aim down consistently like with a Harrier. You should have even less problems on your Turians.Stardusk wrote...

However the low ROF is a problem for me vs crowds, especially if some part of the crowd cannot be staggered by the gun. If its ROF is not increased, this gun needs to consistently stagger all Humanoid enemies on Gold+.

Considering a particular kit or race is not the way to balance a gun imo.

If it's not a sustained accuracy buff I'm going to continue using the Harrier/Brophoon instead.
It's plenty accuracte. It is the massive recoil that interferes with the accuracy.
