What is not great about someone ofering sex for help?

Doesnt' fit with Aria's personality.

Who says it's sex and not a friendly kiss on the cheek, like a "thank you for helping me take back my omega"

Or maybe its a fake out before she knocks out Shep, her parting words being "Better luck next time."

It would break my heart, but it would be awesome.

I haven't read any comics and only 2-3 of the older novels, so what's the deal with Petrovsky? A lot of people seem to really like him. Is he that good a character?

Oleg Petrovsky is a calm, collected, intelligent and cultured man with great knowledge of military tactis of old Earth. He believes in protecting humanity without showing any indication of xenophobic beliefs. He shows respect and care for all he comes across, humans or aliens, and attempts to minimize casualties whenever possible going so far as to forbid certain strategies due to the danger they posed to bothhis men and the civillians of Omega. However, when backed against a wall, he was willing to destroy Omega level by level (after evacuation, of course). He returned Cerberus to the morally ambiguous organization they used to be in ME2.
To see him reduced to a "merciless bastard" is character assassination of the first degree and an insult to the intelligence of the ME fanbase as a whole.

You're saying it like a military officer being calm, collective and intelligent is something unusual or it makes him unique.

Can't say that I can see any interesting character traits either, since someone who isn't the generic Cerberus racist goon doesn't really automatically qualify that guy as being special, since there have been characters like that within Cerberus' ranks before.

Better developed ones too. Like Paul Grayson.

If anything, it's BioWare's shallow attempt to attract people's attention by having a stereotypical general instead of the typical racist neanderthals in charge and then try to develop his character with another media which some/most people more than likely haven't or don't want to read.

Quick, make him look smart by having him play chess or reference old Earth strategies anyone with a Google search engine nearby could have done instead of letting him be smart by making him want to jump ship (or just do it) instead of continuing to ride TIM's nuts, since TIM went koo-koo for coco puffs!

Seriously. Whatever they wanted to accomplish, whenever it had been establishing a base of operations or just keep a low profile for the things that goes on beyond the Omega 4 relay, it went completely out the window when they launched an attack on a pretty large population center. If they had just kept to themselves, it would had been fine.

TIM ordering them to attack while both him and Oleg knows it'd get them into a deep mess? In that case, he and his troops deserves every ounce of rape they'll get for not having any initiatives of their own.

I think she´d go for the alpha person. If she wants sex, she´d be hard pressed to find someone better than Shepard, especially considering the mind meld.

Sex? I feel like you guys will be disappointed.

You'll be lucky to get MAYBE a kiss.

I, on the other hand, will stick with Liara.

Word of mouth does too.

No. People will look up the trailer and decide for themselves

Yeah and people wouldn't listen to friends who have  similar gaming interests.  Word of mouth homie.

In the comic, he was a dedicated Cerberus officer who truly believed following TIM was serving humanity. He goes out of his way to avoid civilian casualties and kind of loses it when it's suggested TIM deliberately sent the adjutants. I like him a lot.

. He's the kind of person who should be in Cerberus according to Miranda in ME2.  He believes in human advancement, but not an anti-alien agenda.

Interesting info on Petrovsky, guys, thanks. He sounds like my Xeno-friendly Renegade from ME2. Now I hope that POV continues in Omega!

So, yes, basically what you would expect from an addition to ME3.

 Couldn't have said it better myself.

Sad to say that this looks like new lows being plumbed in terms of shootertastic writing. Really hope i'm wrong.

That's for the main Mass Effect 3 game. The ESRB doesn't rate DLC.

And he was on the wrong side. Just because he has admirable traits doesn't make him a good person. You read an Aria comic and aesthetisized the villain. Pardon me as I laugh uproariously at your expense.

You want something truly anti-intellectual? Take a good look at what you've done with Miranda, Petrovsky, TIM and Cerberus. You were wrong again and you're butthurt like usual.

My concerns are the following:

BlueDemonX wrote...

Looks like Shepard really is just an
extra and this is all about Aria. And I´ll say it again here: I hope
there´s an option to screw Aria over, somehow (I know, better having her
there than Cerberus, but I want a show of power coming from Shepard as
well. Only having him there doing what SHE wants won´t cut it for me.
Hope that´s something the dev´s gave thought to!)

And that trailer was awesome. Can´t wait till tomorrow!!  [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]

Fun story to playthrough? Similar to any DLC for games that don't have choices that impact?

If anything, I'm more concerned with it not being worth the price.

I pretty much just saw the entire story in that trailer.

That Russian guy is being a total ******, Shepard/Aria/Nyreen shoots their way through Omega and stops him and Cerberus' new toys and then you probably get to choose Omega's new ruler.

Worth the price of 1500 points?

Ain't arguing over the over price. Sure, there's new enemies, new temp squadmates, an expansion on Omega, but over all worth it if I can beat it within 2 hours or less? Not for $15 bucks. Now if it was a hub we can keep going back to with some extra content, or those temp character turn permanent, it be worth it. But from what we're told, that's not the case.

I honestly think we're really just funding Multiplayer content. We got 2 versions of a Turian female outfit now, a new level, new enemies, etc.

You mean, it won´t even be a permanent hub? Come on, for 2GB and 1200 MPoints I do expect lots of content!

Oh, he cared about his soldiers. No military officer has ever done that.

Well, I hope he retains some of those traits and Bioware didn´t go too far with the character assassination..

I completely disagree. Aria already had at least one person in ME3 thinking they'd get sex with her. A second isn't that hard to imagine. Doesn't mean she intends to sleep with anyone.

Anyway Trailer looks badass. Wasn't that interested in Omega til now. Count me in.

I'm dubious about this one...

Looks very action oriented. Would have much preferred a DLC with a little more emphasis on story rather than 'run and shoot'.

It may surprise me... but think I'll pass on this one and wait and see how it's received.

It didn't make him a good person, it made him a more complexe and interesting  person than what we got in ME3, but it seems Bioware thought it was too much for our brains and reduced Petrovsky to a merciless bastard..........yea, the same guy that wanted to evacuate the whole station if it had to be destroyed and spared Aria.

That was a weak trailer or perhaps it's climax was just weak as Aria's speech was so underwhelming.
