All I need is one argument, and it wasn't even necessary.

- A lot of people didn't liked the end
- A lot of people liked the IT
- A lot of people don't buy DLCs because of the ending.

Now, you want me to believe that EA is allowing Bioware to loose money, by keeping us in the dark, thinking that the end is what it is? A DLC solving this would be PRIORITY, they wouldn't be investing money yet on something that people are upset about, and that a lot of people loose interest..

Wake up child, you are dreaming...

Keep 'em coming DD,

"Bad writing" people have already made fools of themselves, show them why.

Yeah, I bet Bioware will go with "bad writing" people. That would be a brilliant strategy and makes a lot of business sense. [/sarcasm]

Leviathan was teh highest selling DLC to date...

But then again...there was a teasing that the DLC would cause a 'rift' in the ending...

That's a different subject to what I was referring to.  However in the cases you suggest such contradictions between actual events and portrayed events are blatantly shown or at least hinted at.  That is to say that there is proof of contradiction.

IT theory on the other hand tends to rely on sketchy evidence based on the underlying assumption that deception is taking place.  Many of us find this insufficient.

Sorry pal, the evidence is anything but sketchy.  Why did some of us come to the conclusion it was indoctrination the very first time we played?  I'm not at all the sort that generally puts stuff like that together before the reveal.

And about whatever subject you were referring to, well given that you jumped in on a conversation between others, it might've helped to actually understand the context of that discussion, rather than just making your own unrelated point.

I don't actually agree with what DD is saying here, but it's one thing to disagree, it's another to say that "using in-game evidence to support the idea of an IT reveal is circular logic".  Maybe DD is right, maybe he's wrong, but at least make coherent points, rather than getting angry when someone says "end might not have been literally happening as we saw it."

We know it now, but they couldn' t tell how much would sell before release. What I'm saying is that, if there was such a plan, such a surprise after release, they would have rushed to reveal it after all the ending issues they got with the players base...

Ok, I'll make it easy for you.
Let's pretetend I'm EA and Bioware!

Hey! You know what? Remeber that ending to ME3 that you all didn't like so much? You were right! Guees what, it was not a real ending! It was indoctrination attempt by the reapers - and you believed it! Cool, ha? So yes, that game you bought from us for 60$ - is not really complete. It lacks the ending - but that is okey! If you truly want to defeat the reapers and shrugg off indoctrination - we'll give you a chance to do so - further content will be provided via DLC and you'll be able to continue your adventures!
Now will you please buy our DLC?

Better?

See, its difficult to make a specific theory about it too, since it's not even as 'simple' as Indoctrination Theory.

It's literally going through every bit of dialogue in the series

... and seeing what you want to see.
Limited utility.

I love to see convincing "there's more to ME3 than meets the eye" arguments, but this thread isn't one.

That'd be cool, but no. The ending is what it is, unfortunetly. It's just not well crafted.

*Stats stuff*

Levy was the highest selling ME related DLC to date. you are showing JUST Xbox rating data - not sales. Do you know where we can actually get the sales figures? I am actually very interested to see if what Priestly said was BS or real

(Though, I guess we can assume that - from the rating - at least 8,438 ppl bought levy dlc)

The Reapers were supposed to take control of Shepard and out of the control of the player, but for technical reasons, BW cut that scene. Reading in between the lines of the Final Hours of ME3 app I got the feeling they really didn't know how to end the trilogy.  Ultimately Mac Walters simply wrote down "speculation from everyone" and that was the direction they went with. Yes, there are some bizarre clues in ME3 and my guess is they simply left them in there even though the "indoctrination" sequence had been cut or felt it added to the speculation and interpretation of the game. Leviathan DLC goes to great lengths to justify the ME3 ending and that right there should tell you all you need to know. It's done, just like BW has said. It's sad, but it's done.

lol that's fine by now. I'm really just waiting to gobble up whatever Bioware has for me now, and BSN is just the side discussion about these ideas.
