Let's all just wait and see, until the ME3 DLC cycle is over, nothing is certain.

2)Do we actually have the Reapers not just concerned, but outright worried about us? (even in their possibly monumental arrogance) This cycle may even lose as it is, but if we destroyed several capital Reapers in the war already, the Reapers may start to stop thinking of this as just a harvest, and in fact will have to regroup and take it on as a full war.

This would be very, very bad. The main constraint on the Reapers is that they want to harvest organics, not blow them all up. If the Reapers decided to just write off this cycle's harvest and treat this as a war, they'd just nuke everything from space. Harvesting Earth was going to take them ten years, glassing it would take --- hours? Minutes?

As much as I hope this is true, I am starting to get the feeling that DD is actually indoctrinated.

Yeah I know.

That's why we have to kill the ringleader Harbinger first to mess em up.

When the devs say they're done with ending DLC post-EC, I'm inclined to believe them.  Besides, what would be the point of wrecking ME3 for a crackpot sneaky conspiracy-esque plan?  Unless somewhere along the line they decided they actively WANTED to ****** people off and stop making money :?

I'd LIKE to believe that there's a decent official ending in the works, but I'd also like to believe that a pet dragon will turn up on my lawn.  Sense, it makes none.

ME3 ending = Stargazer scene

At least in one interpretation.

Just popping in to say that I'll add a whole bunch of quotes to the OP later, as much of it is sprinkled throughout the thread now.

And my 'list' is nowhere near finished. I (and others) just keep finding new stuff as we play.

3. It will continue in Mass Effect 4, which will be a direct sequel, and it will be about Shepard.

Will Bioware reveal it during this DLC cycle, or do we have to wait until ME4? I don't know.

So now you've given yourself and fellow IT subscribers a delay.  You've pushed it further out.  Now the ME3 dlc is no longer going to support your theory and explain everything, and wrap everything up.  Now it's just a dream that won't be explained until ME4.

I personally have never said I knew when they were going to reveal it. Hell, for the longest time I thought they never would. As for what other IT-ers might have said... well, we simply don't all share the same idea as far as the reveal goes.

Thanks for your thoughtful and elaborate reply. I don't have anything to say to it, really. You could be right, of course.

But keep in mind, the term 'conventional victory' is vague. Would a virus that infected all the Reapers be 'conventional'? Not saying that is what will happen, it's just an idea. :)

I mean, "perfect ending" is quite much happy ending with a place for your own interpretation. What would you expect more?

A Virus? no bad!

But first you will need acess to the "Neural System", ok ok...let call it concensus :D. but once here you need to know their programation to then alter their variables. Like overheating their Cores.

But come on! now many times you docked at the Citadel, and the Super Saijan Unshackle AI didn't even cared to enter on the system. No one even bothered to know anything, people just started to live there, like cheese in rattrap.

F***** If Shephard would have bothered to check the Keepers instead of Scaning...Heck even Avina would tell you who is the Catalyst if you ask her!

Off i go, but before i tell you....Conventional Victory is Imposible!

Honestly, your theory makes more sense than the ending. So I'm on board.

I understand why you would think there's a reason why the ending basically goes directly counter to the themes that the storyline established (since that's exactly what it does), but at this point it's clear that this ending is really final and there's no hidden meaning to it. So much time has past since release and all we've seen is Bioware retroactively trying (and failing) to patch the ending and connect it to the main storyline. All it seems they're doing now is releasing rushed DLC for a premium price to make up for what little money they spent on the EC.

They are not that clever, nor would they have any motivation to construct something that involved.

That much should be evident by now.

Oh really.

In Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark a enemy places you in an Illusion, an Illusion that everything is fine, you have won. Go along with it and you face the game over screen, fight it and you get back to reality.

lame and cliche'

Read up on IT and you would realize that it is quite different from that.

It may not physically happen as you see it, but the choices made in the end under IT will still have great conseqeunces.

See, I told you there would be a point to collecting all these quotes. I think there are some great examples here, and we keep finding new ones, still.

*a lot of typical IT nonsense*

Paranoia is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself. (e.g. "Everyone is out to get me.") Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia. For example, an incident most people would view as an accident or coincidence, a paranoid person might believe was intentional...

I think ITers should rename IT into Insane Theory or "PT" - Paranoid Theory. I think that "PT" would fit the meaning of the theory much better.

...You are keep discussing IT nonsence out of IT thread, which will give moderators more reasons to move IT to fan-fiction section (were it belongs) eventually.

This is a different approach to IT. It is based on in-game dialogue. Take a look at some of the examples I added at the end of the OP. =)

Also, not everyone who supports IT would agree with my conclusions.

This is my personal thread because it is my personal interpretation. =)

Off-Topic:
First of all PT = Puzzle Theory.
Secondly it seems that you have stopped the truce you yourself promoted and are again spouting around ad hominems to those that do not agree with your stance of the endings. No wonder that you've chosen galactic leadership to enlighten everyone with your beliefs.

OT:
A nice write-up there DD.
