Should I wait for a "DA2 Ultimate Edition"?

Do you guys think Bioware would sell something like this? Or is DA2 not having enough DLC? I played through the DA:O Ultimate Edition and I liked it very much - and although I pretty much heard of DA2´s criticism - I´d still like to play it through, because I like the DA Universe really much (and with DA3 coming up next, I want to stay up-to-date :D).

I´ll probably wait a bit more so it gets cheaper and hopefully there´ll be a version with included DLC (couldn´t find anything till now, but I didn´t really search diligently ^^).

I don't think there will ever be a DA2 UE. They have stopped working on DA2 a year ago, so I don't expect them to bring out a new edition of it just for the two additional DLCs...

Odds are, if they create a ULT - it'll most likely be released prior to 3. So if you're willing to be that patient then by all means, as is I have all of the DLC and such for both DA's on my PS3, I'm considering re-buying DLC for 2 on my PC since I recently picked up DA ULT and DA 2 for the PC.

All about preference.

Well I mean it would be nice Since all the dlc plus a copy of the game on the pc would be over 50 bucks. And that is just a lot of money if "no one is interested"

i do not see that happening at all.
Be sure to play Both DLCs though ; Legacy and ΜΟΤΑ, they really breath new fresh air with their enviroments and great to fight bosses. Also great dialogue there too!!!!

on 19th March executive producer Mark Darrah Tweeted that retailers had no interested in stocking it so they were unlikely to make one unless the situation changed.
If they did I would buy it (for exiled prince, mark of the assassin, Legacy and black emporium) - I don't have a home internet connection so can't download dlc

I imagine DA2 to be fairly cheap now ?

I don't know if you would save money as an ultimate edition would probably cost more even if it comes with DLC.

You could get it cheap now and pay for the DLC if you like.

Nah. It's really inexpensive through most channels, and I bet a good amount of time will have gone by before the price-tag of an Ultimate Edition will be lower than just buying the vanilla game and picking off the DLC.

I doubt that version of DA 2 will ever exist. So better to get the game as it is and get the DLC via whatever means are at your disposal.

Damn, been searching for this thread all over the place, only noticed now that I opened it in the the game owner´s general discussion forum xD

Hmm, yeah, been seeing similar threads as this around - I guess I´ll just wait till DA3 comes out and see if I get lucky - if not, I think there are even DA2 versions selling for 10 bucks , so the DLC will cost more than the game -.-"

I´d be happy if they´d put up some offer on Origin or something, that´d be cool as well (around Christmas or even before DA3 comes out).

And thank you guys for your replies :)

Yes, DA2 can be purchased for $6 so the DLC costs more than the game. For $6 even if an ultimate version comes out, the $6 is little enough to spend.

Okay, where does it cost 6$? Can you point me to it, if it is a site? :D
But as I said, it really isn´t a priority now, so I´ll probably wait anyway ^^

How about if we let the OP make their own decision about DA2 after playing it? Personally, I really enjoyed DA2. Sure, it was very different from DAO and had some flaws to it, but you know, that is called "progress". The devs now know what the fans don't want and what worked, so they can put that info to use in DA3.

At least no one was constantly calibrating in DA2...

Hey hey, now don't pick on Garrus please :alien:
I'm usually pretty forgiving and open minded when it comes to games and knowing what to expect (i.e. not another DA:O) I'm pretty sure I'll come to enjoy it for what it is. I want to play the game, since it furthers the story, so yeah :)

Since it is cheap (for the DVD), no harm. I can say that it was worth the $6 that I paid :-) Fair warning, there can be problems activating if you buy the DVD. It took quality time with tech support to get my version to work.

However, the DVD also came with the Black Emporium and Mabari activation code (I haven't tried it yet). And there was a link (I can find it if no one else has it) that appears to give all of the equipment DLC. No, it doesn't give the 'major DLC', but it is something.
