Most of us here would have no idea what an ordinary store charges for business level video cards, let alone for the good ones. Most of us have learned that they (Best Buy and similar) charge way too much. The online stores that we refer you to, such as Newegg, are the cost standard we consider the normal one.
This card is a far better one, and is only $50 after rebate:
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspxThe next one is nearly half again better for $65 after rebate:
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspxNext, because nVIDIA overprices them, this is the GT 220 for $50 that isn't as good as the first $50 one above:
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspxJust as you have been told before, other than the odd numbering of the various nVIDIA Geforce 200s, the base card needs that "n600", or n650, n670 in its name (and upward from there, but the n700s, n800s often are more expensive, unless they are any older models not sold yet). From among the Geforces with the odd low end-sounding numbers, start with the GTS250 and go upward from there, and you have good cards.
