Think about it this way, If this was an operation 6 months ago, the allied goal would be 500,000 extractions. so if there was about 10,000 players from each platform contributing at least two extractions with one of the three characters, then we would have gotten it easily.

My prediction: This was an easy operation.

I care about Oops packs.
I use them as immunity boosters while running the pizza going into sync kill close ups on objective waves and when needing to revive someone in the open kill zones.
1 more Ops pack is one more situation I can use it in.

I pretty much spent most of my games as the Vorcha hunter and a couple games as the TGI (promoted my infils a day or two before the event). I think I personally got around or under 20 extractions.

Just to mention, in blaming the community you're blaming yourself as well. You have no idea who played what. Some people may have played the entire weekend as Turian/Vorcha/Batarian characters to help with the event and you're blaming them just as much, so if that's your logic, it's your fault to. You're a part of the community just as much as I am and everybody else. Just because you participated it doesn't give you the right to assume everybody else didn't and blame them for failure while excluding yourself.

Also, as a side note, results aren't even out yet.

Meh. I just used my Ghost for the Individual Goal...and when I was done with that, I went back to using whoever the hell I wanted. Though I do remember messing around with my Vorcha Hunter and Batarian Brawler for a match each.

I don't fault people for wanting to do the Allied Goal...but really....it's pretty hard to care about it.

I saw a lot of batarian vanguards, I'd forgotten they existed.

For my part, I went mainly with the batarian and turian sentinels. Going back to the turian reminds me (a) how pretty solid a character he is, and ( how much I use dodge/roll.

Less skilled players need to get skill, not an ops pack. 

Tell that to people who've only got time to play in the evenings/weekends, and not for too long at that. Just because they don't have the luxury of spending 20+ hours a week on this game doesn't mean they should be punished and frustrated the fk out of everytime they want to play MP. An ops pack can help keep them alive, so let them have it.

I have to say if those people are not able to put in the time then they can't really complain if the mission failed or were those that can play a lot suppose to carry those that can not?

I didn't bother with it. If Bioware shows penalties or rewards for the community reaching or not reaching this goal, next time I'll participate.

For example, if we fail this operation's community goal, we see more mauraders and Cannibals invading other factions (like Cerberus and Geth), that would pique my interest.

I played a match or two as a Turian and then changed to Krogan because I thought they counted towards the objective... >.<

I got into quite a few groups where we all used the required species. I have pretty high hopes~. It's weird, I've been hearing 50/50 on this- some people say they never saw anyone participating, some people say they got nothing but turians, vorcha, and batarians.

I was playing Friday night, UK time, and I was never on a team with less than two Vorcha/Batarians/Turians.  Frequently it was three or a full team playing those races, and while the occasional Krogan, Asari and N7 Fury slipped in, the Challenge Event races were very well represented.  Given I played from about 20:00 to....a very silly time in the morning and saw that level of consistency, I feel pretty confident about the Allied Goal.

The first match I dropped in this weekend was 3 batarians (at least 2 vanguards, including me) 1 Havoc.
We mauled the Geth - whenever a Prime appeared we converged on it from all sides and meleed the heck out of it. That was one of the funniest matches I've had in a while.
I saw a lot of other operation-related classes overall - on Sunday not as much.

If every ME3MP player extracted only once with a turian, vorcha, whatever then the challenge was already done. So no need to worry. I stopped caring about privateer after my tenth extraction and player the classes I like more. So what gives?

I did at least 10 extractions with a turian or batarian, and every lobby I was in had at least 1 if not 2 or 3 of the necessary races.

I think we'll do it not problem.

I am quite sure we reached the neccessary number of extractions. I guess we already did it on the 2nd day of the operation
