I think I ran both the other day and didn't notice a drop in damage.

2.35m is still pretty good if you take HVB and spare clips though, and I will do that depending on the generosity of ammo on certain maps.

I think AirQuotes was saying the original AP mod is what's bugged, but I haven't used it since the patch.

Personally prefer regular barrel and spare clips since I like carrying some sort of side-arm, even though I almost never use it (feels better to have it and not need it). That and the cooldown bug doesn't seem to work consistently for me.

Yes, original AP mod is what I meant. I thinking he/she said it did less damage still after its built in penetration. I'm not familiar with the bug though.

What cooldown bug? Is it where the new weighted mods don't affect the old weapons? It could just be tactical cloak's changing cooldown....

I might test it to see what is going on then.  I basically have only been running HVB + either clips or SR Piercing.  If it isn't bugged when you run both, then I wouldn't have seen it.

The bug doesn't work if you equip them on a DLC weapon, or if you apply ULM to one of your weapons, AFAIK.

Yeah, I prefer having a ULM Hurricane or pistol as a sidearm. Feels better jumping into PUG games with a sniper rifle. It did feel like my Adrenaline Rush cooldowns were longer when I was using HVB Claymore but maybe it's another mental thing, since I didn't actually time the cooldowns.
