Can we stop saying Lone Wolf takes skill yet?

Thanks to Caneighis' solo Platinum guide using the Geth Soldier, I now have the Lone Wolf banner with about 5 hours invested in it.  I had no intention of trying to get the banner until I saw his guide, because quite frankly, I'm terrible at soloing.  After watching how easy his strategy made it though, I spent the next few hours soloing gold, averaging around 40 mins per clear.  Then I tried Platinum, taking 3 attempts to clear due to being stupid with Banshees.

So, can we stop saying that Lone Wolf takes skill, and only takes what the other banners require...several hours of dedication.

Doing the Husk points for Reaper Mastery took me about 3 weeks of dedication. God bless whoever needs those points.

Banners are not indicators of skill.

I thought we were over this.

I think this is a disguised brag thread, but whatever. Anyway, good job OP.

So now that you've acquired the know-how to do something, which is a set of rules and patterns to follow, and are now able to execute according to that set of rules and patterns in order to perform an action which someone without said knowledge and/or ability to consistently follow a set of rules and patterns cannot do, then you're saying that the difference between two such people cannot be referred to as skill or experience?

I would argue, as would most dictionary definitions of the term, that you've acquired a skill in doing so, and thereby you are "skilled".

Does skill not require hours of dedication?

No matter how easy the BSN wants to claim this banner is, it's one of the few you cannot brute force with time alone(As long as you aren't cheating to get it).

It doesn't take a great amount of skill, but things like the Assault Rifle challenge take essentially no skill.

Though I've never thought of the banners as a way of trying to display my skill, since they don't do that(not even Best of the Best does that)

Pretty sad if I have to brag about cheesing Platinum.  I was just trying to make the point that if I can do it using his guide, anyone can.  Plus, I have seen many posts stating that Lone Wolf is the only banner that takes skill, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Assault rifle challenge takes a good amount of masochism to complete, especially for completing a challenge for every single assault rifle (like me).

Not everyone did it with Geth Soldier or Kroguard.

lol self admittance to having someone hold your hand so you could do it on easy mode. completely negates anyone who didn't have that guide's skill..... hrmmm you should have thought this thread out a lil more... just sayin

Can we stop complaining about Lone Wolf in general yet?

I found it takes a good amount of Turian Ghost to complete =P

I actually found the Sniper Rifle one more annoying after I got through the couple of really good rifles and had to use choose between the Raptor(prior to the recent buff) or Incisor.

Though my point still stands. You can still grind out points, even if very slowly. Regardless of how skilled you are, you will eventually complete this challenge. The same can't be said of Lone Wolf. There is no setup that guarantee's victory, and you can't be carried by 3 other players.

yes another one of these posts. who cares what banner they use as long as they're a team player and could hold their own, it does not matter. :innocent:

I discussed this with the forum gods and the ruling is that it's a veiled brag topic. You don't dig up a buried topic unless you want attention.
