Will a Dev please say SOMETHING about the 100% CPU issue?

Can we please get some reassurance that a fix is on the way? It's a problem that so many people seem to be suffering from, and it's a big problem. In spite of this, I have yet to see a single Dev comment on a post related to the 100% CPU usage issue.

Past experience with Bioware is that before the game's release, and perhaps on the first day, we occasionally see someone other than Chris Priestley, but that is done with by the second day. I may be exaggerating by 12 hours, but I doubt it.

just for plain curiosity, what processor?

And while you're at it, list the other parts......MOBO, ram(and amount), videocard, soundcard.

That didn't seem to me to quite be quite enough of an answerto be truly worthy of the time to type it. Excuse the sarcasm, but it's why I had to write at all: /S - on/ "Fifteen cores? Half a core? Do you know?  Who made it?  IBM?  Via?  Motorola?" /S - off

Personally, I haven't researched this core usage situation, and am not yet sure it's something to worry about.

Edited for brusqueness adjustment.

I have read somewhere that if you have a quad core, it doesn't quite use all of them. If you have a dual core, like I do, it uses 100%. I personally don't see what the big deal is as long as your cooling is adequate.

1. As long as your frame rate is playable, who cares?

2. As noted, people with slower clock speeds or fewer CPU cores will likely see higher load.

it matters if your cpu is getting temps thru the roof because of constant usage at 100% for long periods of time, im 55 max load but with dao im easily into the 60s with only abt 30 min of play

i think it's because they run physX on the CPU rather then the GPU.

How fast is your cpu fan running? I have mine set at 80% all the time and don't get temps that high. Check your cpu/fan setup and see if there is any dust clogging it. I'm running an E8500 core 2 duo OC'd to 3.8 Ghz and I usually only run in mid 40's to low 50's while running DA:O. I believe PhysX is cpu only in DA:O.

Can't believe that people are still posting how bad this game is. Who cares if it won't run of 4 cores or 2 cores or whatever.

Just do as i did and throw it in the bin, and don't buy another Bioware game simple.

Okay, you can't be 55 max load and then somehow DA:O creates a hotter "max load" situation. So your previous max load temps were not accurate.  And again, as long as you are stable, who cares?
