Leviathan in Dragon Age...

(Attn: possible spoiler just in case the reader may not have played Dragon Age Origins, specifically the Stone Prisoner DLC and the Leviathan DLC of Mass Effect 3)

On a current playthrough of Dragon Age Origins I noticed something odd; during the village of Honnleath to recover Shale, over a mantle in the lower levels was some art. This art looked very similar to the Leviathan's in the most recent Mass Effect  3 DLC, so similar that they are either by the same artist or they are connected.

I was wondering if anyone had heard about this or seen what I have described. Being that Dragon Age 3 is delving deep into more lore and ME3 being finished, maybe they will tie the two together somehow. A side by side shot will undoubtedly show the resemblance. ( I have now provided a shot of it.)

(The exact place in the DLC is right after you enter the lower level to rescue a child. You can't miss the room it is in, obviously the other example being the leviathan image from ME3)

If they tie Dragon Age and Mass Effect together, I'll kill a puppy. I'm. Not. Kidding.

I don't necessarily want it either.

Edit: I posted a screen shot below taken with my phone and sent to photobucket. The similarity is uncanny.

Poor poor puppy! Unless it is Mabari then you are losing a foot!

How is this tying them 'together' any more than that note about a dwarf named shepard tied them together? It's just an easter egg if it's real.

I said nothing about it not being an easter egg. I'm just saying, if they go any further than easter eggs...

The pic is very real. I was floored when I saw it, especially after having played the Leviathan DLC not too long ago. It is in the long cellar room before the descent to Kitty. When I paused I immediately went to the wikia to see if it was an Easter egg but considering Dragon Age Origins came first and it was before EA ( I would assume) it was a stretch for such a thing.

Seriously I wasn't trying to upset anyone with the find, just share that it is there for anyone to see.

Given the time difference, I'd be more willing that someone reused an art asset somewhere (or drew inspiration from it at least).

Though I don't actually know what the Leviathan DLC image is you're talking about, I wouldn't run off and go all conspiracy theory with it yet.

There isn't much comparison at all. I doubt they're related in any way.

I agree that it's not all that similar.  On this note, I'll be closing this thread down.  Sorry OP.
