It's the quintessential one liner when Collectors spawn now I've noticed. At first I shrugged, but now each time I hear it I cringe. I kinda agree though they're annoying, damn swarms and Scions but nonetheless I still nod and smile in silence when I hear someone say that. I did hear the first time some guy played against Collectors though, he must have been new enough to MP to not know that Collectors were recently included. The first Praetorian that spawned horrified him, something like "WTF is that thing?!!?!". I couldn't answer over the mic but I thought "Dude those were in ME2, never played ME2 then?". But they're a bit creepier in ME3 I guess.

most collector games in U/U/G games result in a collective groan of 'oh noes' at the start of the wave and a hectic jabbering of 'what do we do?! D:'

Don't really hear any talkers on PC mp but when you do they don't say much unless it's relevant to the match in my experience. Once or twice someones been crazy but thats about it.

Playing a gold match against reapers. Two of my teammates know each other, they sound about 15 or 16. Brutes and banshees appear and they start screaming like little girls. "OMG brute run. Oh no banshee." They screeched louder than any little kid I've ever heard.

Random gold PUG, countdown starts, phone rings so I apologise for being about to bail out just before the game starts (so it's not as if it would affect anything anyway). No-one had been saying anything in the lobby but when I said that there was a very loud "F***" from someone. Weird.

I don't hear too much funny stuff really...probably the funniest thing was when I came in on wave 3 to one guy downed (whom I revived promptly) and some hacking being ignored...seriously ignored too. This is Bronze we're talking and the counter was down to like two and a half minutes without one event started. I did all those. Revived four more times, did almost all of the objectives myself, and then during extraction time's winding down (this is Glacier) and I'm just popping guys as they show their faces at the upper doorway, away from the extraction point. I'm in no danger, then out of nowhere guy comes up and starts going crazy, as I'm turning to hit the EP with 10 seconds left and while I'm already running he goes "get to the F***** extraction point stupid!" while I'm standing in the EP. THEN, "God, you're so F***** greedy, you're like a God D*** pig!"
...I'm somewhat glad I didn't have my headset at the time, because I doubt pointing out that I was the only one reviving, and doing ANYTHING other than killing stuff after coming in late, and still topping the board, would've actually registered.
...I hate some people. XD

I was playing the Volus Sentinel, him the Asari Valkyrie. Map was Hydra, we were in the left side, where there are two parallel ways divided by a square-like thing.

I hear him shout "SHIELD!" quickly followed by "DECOY!"

Yep, he needed me to Shield Boost him. He had the wrong me, though

I haven't heard too many weird things, but I was talking on Skype to a friend and accidentally pressed the push-to-talk-button. so what everyone heard was: "It's in my special drawer." Taken so wrong out of context and/or around dirty minded people. =P

Y'know what, the funniest thing I've heard over mic was me. Yeah, me. It was a plagarized comment, but I *know* it was funny because it had my whole team hysterical for a long time. I was playing with a few XBL buddies who joke around a fair bit about me wanting to get with 'em just because I'm a guy-on-guy kinda' guy, and one of them make some crack about how I shouldn't "fall in love with him, because I couldn't handle him."

To which I replied, paraphrasing a line from a movie I'd seen recently, "by the time I was done with you, you'd have an a**hole like a clown's pocket."

Screwed up everybody's aim for at least a minute, they were laughing so hard :-D

Someone had always on as their mic setting and forgot he has a mic apparently. Random chit chat to himself about the game then all I hear is, "Man, I gotta poo". 2 other players including me, "Hey guy, you know your mic is on right?". He left the game..

I had a pretty amusing moment today in a collectors match with my GE, though I admit it wasn't because of something anyone said, but rather because of sounds I heard in-game. I was using overload on the enemies and twice within one wave I hit the button in the exact moment when somewhere else on the map a possessed abomination exploded, causing the infamous BOOOOM. The timing made it seem like I was somehow responsible for the sound and for a moment I was really confused, feeling like that librarian guy from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, looking at his stamp as Indy breaks through the floor. 
Totally random, but it made me laugh anyway.
