Some talk at the beginning, invade Omega, and straight into the action. From that point on its you climbing ladders or wandering down corridors blowing away wave, after wave, after wave, after wave of the same ol' faceless Cerberus mooks, with added LOKI action.
I was bored to tears, couldnt stop yawning.
OMEGA -- Minimal story. Minimal dialogue. ALL ACTION. (if that's your type of thing)

The couch will appear when you are involved in the mission to stop the bombs from detonating. No idea about the mechanic, I never found it because the DLC locks you out of certain areas as you explore.

The Mechanic's item is in the Talon base, near the staircase up to Nyreen's little command area. The couch for Harrot is in the area where you raise to dam to cross the water. After you raise it, there is a ladder leading down in to where the water was, where the couch is sitting.darthmarticus wrote...

Because most of them are indoctrinated. But are Petrovsky and his cell indotrinated?
If not: Why the hell should I give Omega to a criminal and her scumbag friends, instead of trying to win an entire cell of highly trained cerberus operatives and scientists for my cause? Who do you think will bring more resources to the table? The rabble of the Terminus system or an entire cell from a well founded and equiped spec-ops organisation?

I agree with dreman9999. The DLC only seems shallow because of how the series ends, which is not the fault of Omega. What Shepard stands to gain as a result of Omega makes perfect sense and its not like he/she knows how it will all end anyway. To the extent that is shallow is simply because BioWare slapped a price on it that was too high for what we got out of it.
The problem is it reinforces Cerberus as being more of a challenge than the reapers-you fight a lot more Cerberus troops already than you do actual reapers and yet the story was about getting to fight reapers. So, because you can't actually do anything to fight actual reapers, Cerberus is a suitable foe to take on? And gee, we do actually need more variants of Cerberus don't we? Can't ever have enough of them. Good thing everyone else is working on making a big space gun so Shepard has time to fight Cerberus so s/he can still go through the same run to the conduit (no matter what) and still get 3 choices as to how to screw the galaxy and/or die. Good thing it's totally impossible to fight and beat reapers or else there'd be no time to fight more Cerberus.
How the series ends is the fault of all content BW releases. Leviathan could have added something to the ending, Omega could, but since that's not what any ME3 DLC is about, this is pointless. And you're right Shepard doesn't know how it will end, but Miranda continually came to Shepard to talk, but didn't want Shepard distracted and yet, the stuff Mirand was doing actually had something to do with reapers.
Especially when it clears the way to hit Earth.

I don't think that that is the point. Everything ME related is under a big scope right now so good or not people will judge. For ME3 Bioware just have to make decent DLC's and then just forget about everything. They need a fresh start for ME4. That is for sure.
The team needs to work on another game instead of Mass Effect. At least Bethesda and Todd Howard switch off on Fallout and TES every other project, but this team only works on Mass Effect. They need something new to flow the juices. How about a pirate game or something. That would give them a new creative outlet then after a new game like that is done. Bring them back to ME for ME4 and I guarantee you things will be awesome again. They are burnt out. IF you can't see that in the gameplay, design, or writing. You are not paying attention. I can make excuses all day, but they are burnt out period. Making a new ME game will not help them. They need to work on a new project. That will give them the freedom to move around.

Sounds like things on Aria's couch are quite impressive. We must find this couch at all costs and make sure it is protected. It will not only save omega, but it will be a great souvenir for shepard's bedroom on the normandy. Imagine cuddle time with love interests on Aria's couch.

I bet there is some kind of hidden ability that the couch has that makes it significant. Maybe we should try loading up the Thanix cannons with it and firing it at Harbinger just to see what happens. Might have made for a better ending.

Fairly certain this game never sold on those two features alone. Also pretty sure people didn't tell their friends "The Inventory system is the ****ing **** man, best thing about the game".
I remember telling my friends that the game makes the story feel like your own.
