Plus we already got a Biotic bonus power with Levi. Why not give us a new Tech power or one of the new ammo types?

Omega's a different kind of story to any of the previous DLCs. Good one. More fulfilling than Leviathan, for me. Possibly more fulfilling than Shadow Broker. Probably is, actually. Aliens and sidequests, great characters, great ideas, cracking. Fantastic new enemies - better than the MP ones, I'd add - feels in some ways like we've seen more of Omega than we ever did in ME2.
Only thing, can't work out whether Nyreen's bubble is a bonus power that I made the wrong decisions to unlock, or just plain not available. Hope it's there, was looking forward to breaking that out on another character.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I agree with everyone that the price does not make the DLC worth it, so I'll be skipping on this (my first ME DLC to skip, by the way). If there's a price cut (which I doubt) I'll get it, but barring that, no dice.
If you're on 360 you might catch it in Sale of the Week. Or if we're very lucky it might go on sale in their one day Christmas sale things they do over the holidays.

The story isn't good. It's really an meh story from beginning to end. There's nothing about it that makes me care.
Why is this game worth $15? Because they force this temp turian squadmate on me? How is that worth $15 when this character is barely in my party during most of the DLC. She keeps running off, leaving me with just Aria. Did she have to be a squadmate? No. She didn't. I could argue that she didn't need to exist. What's the point of her character? Because we don't get much out of her character. All I know is that she doesn't like what Aria does, and wants to save civilians. She's very much a one note character. And the romance between her and Aria is pretty much forced, and nothing more then to be a forced plot mechanic. When she died, I did not care. Why should I care? I barely know her. The most I got out of her is "We need to save civilians".
This game also does nothing for me to like Aria. Yes, you can someone change Aria based on your choices, but I never felt like I got any form of friendship or whatever out of the whole experience. I didn't get any closer to knowing her.
Again, why is this worth 15? Because of new enemies? Like a robot from ME2 that just rushes you? Or a Reaper enemy that just runs around throwing ****? They're utterly disappointing.
Is it because of the new levels? Because guess what, that's not good enough. I got new levels out of Leviathan, and that wasn't $15. That was 10. And these new levels are based on a Hub from the second game.
What would make this worth 15? If I got a new hub. If I had new squad banter. If I got cameos from characters from ME2 Omega, showing how some of those side missions mattered. If the Collector Base mattered. A new squadmate.
Nope. All I got from Omega was a waste of my time, and my money so I could fund assets for Multiplayer. Because that's why I got a female turian in 2 different costumes. That's why I got Omega levels. And new enemies. That was Bioware's priority. Me funding their multiplayer by being single player DLC.

Loved it. Waiting for the moan-wave to subside. I'm sure it's not going to be to everyone's tastes, but... everyone hated ME2, now they love it, everyone hated Leviathan and now Omega's being compared negatively to it. Have to question how much of it's rational criticism and how much of it's children clinging to vendettas. Confirmation bias - they expect to be disappointed, so anything that's slightly different to what they would've done gets tasered. Leave them to it. Half the feedback rings very whiny, though.

If we hated ME2 we wouldn't have bought ME3.

I don't have any numbers, but my general sense from reading a lot of the forums was actually that Omega was going to be a good DLC- not contribute to the main storyline (i.e., reaper war), but be LoTSB style and blow people away for a few hours with good cinematics, compelling dialogue/storyline, and a twist or moment-of-intrigue somewhere near the end. I got the sense that it was highly anticipated by a lot of people, even those who didn't particularly like ME3 (or its ending).
Though I'm not *totally* surprised that the general consensus on this thread is that it's sort of flopping (I told my friends that Omega will either fly or crash and burn), I was expecting a lot more praise than what people are saying on here.

But 1200 MS points? No freaking way was that worth it. 400 to 600 at best. I honestly do not understand how this was more expensive than Leviathan. A much more superior DLC top be sure.

Waste of money... whole DLC was meh... I got 2hour30mins out of it on narrative difficulty but I was searching everywhere to get the achievements for the side missions... So yeah. Awful. Don't buy, it's really not worth it, even at 800msp it wouldn't have been worth it.
What happened to the pre release quotes about Omega being the biggest dlc to date.......were they lying again for sales as id hardly call 2.30hrs epic and going by the reaction of people it's quite the letdown.

Have to ask......have you played ME1?...as Leviathan/Shadow broker were foreshadowed in that game and LOTSB in my opinion is the best dlc they have done for the ME series.........dunno why but your message comes across like u began at ME2.

yeah i'm surprised too. the pre-release quotes and the trailer had me thinking that LoTSB would meet its match but...apparently not. i guess it must have just been extra hype to get people to buy it on release day before the "that was lame" reviews got out? IDK
