When I got to the end and was back on the Normandy, I was like 'surely that can't be it'... But it was... The DLC could have so much better... they could have added a section like in ME1 on the outside of the citadel... 'This part is blocked off we will have to go outside' It would have been awesome... one point Aria even said when Shepard asked how we're getting to afterlife 'The direct approach' what would have been more direct than the outer hull.... but nooo it was just boring corridor and corridor of shooting.

Waste of money... whole DLC was meh... I got 2hour30mins out of it on narrative difficulty but I was searching everywhere to get the achievements for the side missions... So yeah. Awful. Don't buy, it's really not worth it, even at 800msp it wouldn't have been worth it.

What happened to the pre release quotes about Omega being the biggest dlc to date.......were they lying again for sales as id hardly call 2.30hrs epic and going by the reaction of people it's quite the letdown.

yeah i'm surprised too. the pre-release quotes and the trailer had me thinking that LoTSB would meet its match but...apparently not. i guess it must have just been extra hype to get people to buy it on release day before the "that was lame" reviews got out? IDK

To be honest this is the first time in the series i haven't purchased the dlc for a ME game.......after the debacle and dissapointment of ME3 i got turned off by it all and always thought SP dlc was pointless as standalone adventures.....this reniforces why i feel that way, they talked it up before hand like ME3 and it seems such a letdown and far from epic/big like they stated it was.........so glad i havent bought it now but slightly gutted aswell as i feel distant from ME similar to what i did to the Final Fantasy series after they produced mediocre games......it doesnt even seem enticing.

Loved it. Waiting for the moan-wave to subside. I'm sure it's not going to be to everyone's tastes, but... everyone hated ME2, now they love it, everyone hated Leviathan and now Omega's being compared negatively to it. Have to question how much of it's rational criticism and how much of it's children clinging to vendettas. Confirmation bias - they expect to be disappointed, so anything that's slightly different to what they would've done gets tasered. Leave them to it. Half the feedback rings very whiny, though.

Total simplification right there.

I'd challenge you to go back and link up someone who hated ME2 when it first came out that says they love it now.

Same for Leviathan a few months back.  I remember most of the people who were pissed about Leviathan, and those people (the ones still here) haven't changed their mind.

I think the last mission of the DLC is genuinely the worst mission of any game I've ever played.

Usually, even when things are difficult, I enjoy playing a game, but there was no fun to be had here. Slogged through it just because I wanted to see the end.

Oh please, plenty of the same whiners about ME2 bought ME3...presumably to whine about it some more too. Frankly why so many people on here buy new games at all when they just want to clutch ME1 to their chest and ride around in the MAKO I'll never know.

I just finished a full playthrough on insanity. I really enjoyed this DLC. I loved getting to spend so much time with Aria. I really liked the areas we got to explore and the level design, but I did find the fights a bit easy. Still, it was fun. I did a renegade playthrough for my first try so I can see the paragon playthrough next. I did not find that couch though, where was that hiding?

Nyreen is pretty great, I hope to see female turian models like hers in the multiplayer. She has great armor. Thank you Bioware!

There is some weird blue flickering glowing effect where weapon supposed to be during non weapon holding scenes on mine... Also they this DLC apparently mutilated my Shepard. His eyes are literally popping out of his head. which never used to be the case.

Image IPB

I am only just into the DLC itself however, just arived on Omega but these two issues mentioned were first feedback so far for it. The story I am not far enough into to leave feedback on yet or gameplay because only just started.

liked it enough. wasn't as good as i expected but that is bioware raising expectations lol . little iffy on if it was worth 15$ but i guess i will probably play through it a couple more times .

kinda felt like it was pointless. not because it doesn't influence the ending but just like i don't have to do it or whatever. it doesn't add much to the story . LOTSB gave a home away from home at least .

would say it would be worth 10$ , but probably a reason for charging 15$ , maybe just for the money

interesting enough experience though . bioware just made it seem "bigger" then it was i guess

Well, I thought it was utter rubbish.

Some talk at the beginning, invade Omega, and straight into the action. From that point on its you climbing ladders or wandering down corridors blowing away wave, after wave, after wave, after wave of the same ol' faceless Cerberus mooks, with added LOKI action.

I was bored to tears, couldnt stop yawning.

OMEGA -- Minimal story. Minimal dialogue. ALL ACTION. (if that's your type of thing)

Leviathan >>>>> Omega.....................something I'd never expected to say.

What a shame...

And congratulations for all of you who bought the DLC and had your expectations (and hopes) crushed again.

I wish someone who knew how, could do this (isn't it an old forum site?).  I agree with Constant:  People b*tched like hell over ME2 and how it was the end of the BW world.  Now all I hear is praise.  Personally, i still dislike much of ME2.

I mean, that's why I meantioned Leviathan as well.  I know going back and looking at ME2 comments from 2010 is unrealistic.

Personally, I only lurked here when ME2 was out - and not very much. I was surprised to see people hating on Harbinger, etc. But I loved ME2 upon release, and it's grown into one of my all-time favorite games since.

I don't have that same enthusiasm for ME3 at all. But I still enjoy parts of it, and I liked Leviathan after playing it through twice.

Still haven't decided on whether or not I buy Omega tonight, or hold off. I'm very much on the fence.

I've been a loyal damn fan up till ME3 and now with the reviews of this new DLC I'm not buying it. I want to buy it - as I've bought and played all of the Mass Effect games/DLCs, but ever since ME3 I've seen how stupid **** has gotten. Hell I noticed something was wrong BEFORE I even played ME3! My pre-orered Collectors edition was canceled ****ing five times starting way back in July when they opened the pre-ordered things. Then once I got my hands on it - I won't lie - the game felt great. I had to buy the Ashes dlc which I felt was a bit stupid but the new character was really awesome (****ing Javik man). I hated the whole Leviathan DLC though as I expected a lot more from the underwater thing. That had so much god damn potential and they just blew it. Then Omega sounded appealing until I read all this..

What the ****ing christ is EAWare doing?

Buy it, but wait until it goes on sale. My complaints were never that it was of poor quality. My complaints were that the quality were not up to par with the sticker price, a price you cannot negotiate.

Hey, I loved ME1. I loved ME2. I loved the DLC for both. I hated ME3. I disliked Leviathan, although it gave me more squaddie time and a zombie head along with <3Garrus<3 . Hell, Omega could have had the worst story ever as long as it gave me the addition of Nyreen at the end and let me choose to take some of my old squadmates with me. WHY COULDN'T THEY DO THIS? The fans have been practically screaming for MOAR SQUADMATES. PPPPPPLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE.

So Omega isn't a hub, our ME3 squaddies have *no* new dialogue, and afterwards Aria goes back to sitting in the Purgatory bar (for no reason at all)? I never, ever thought this day would come...but considering the price, I think I'll wait until XBox has some sort of sale and download it then. I don't see how the price justifies the content from all I'm hearing. Major bummer.

...though nice to hear we get some more stuff to fill up Shep's cabin, I guess.

Haha, if by "stuff" you mean a chess set that's not even interactable, then yeah. :(

I'd agree with your assessment--wait until it goes on sale. This DLC is definitely not worth the price.

Omega's a different kind of story to any of the previous DLCs. Good one. More fulfilling than Leviathan, for me. Possibly more fulfilling than Shadow Broker. Probably is, actually. Aliens and sidequests, great characters, great ideas, cracking. Fantastic new enemies - better than the MP ones, I'd add - feels in some ways like we've seen more of Omega than we ever did in ME2.

Only thing, can't work out whether Nyreen's bubble is a bonus power that I made the wrong decisions to unlock, or just plain not available. Hope it's there, was looking forward to breaking that out on another character.

Well, since you went out of your way to make this the point of your thread, surely you have seen the posters in question, or why make the point at all. Since you have their user names, I challenge you to do a search and post here where any user stated they hated ME2, then later claimed their love for it, same with Leviathan. The comparison to Leviathan seems more of, "Leviathan was better, and that isn't saying a lot." as opposed to, "I loved Leviathan, why couldn't Omega be as good?"

I wonder how much of your post is rational criticsim and how much of it is a child clinging to vendettas. You know, confirmation biased, you expect everyone to love it because you do and anyone who doesn't should be tasered.

Thanks to this thread. You saved me 15 bucks that I'll put towards some skyrim or arkham city DLC.

If you're thinking Harley Quinn's Revenge, I'd say skip it. Aside from getting to play as Robin there's not much to it. Fairly short too.

No...no, save your money for something good not WoW for those w/o friends.

what.

Dragonborn DLC will be epic.

Skyrim's world is epic, but the game is not epic at all IMO.

Me3 really TRIES to fail harder and harder.
WHAT IS WRONG with you bioware Mass Effect team??
IF this DLC was any good then people WOULD be happy. instead all i see is dissapointment in here and in the No spoilers section.
Some person from your team is simply doing it wrong.
What is wrong with you??
This will be the first bioware DLC i will reject.
I bought the 2 DLCS for DA2 a month ago and they were fantastic!!!
Dragon age team really nailed it !!!
Instead Me3 DLC falls short. Every time!
I forsee bioware going down in a couple of years and by down i mean "Closing".
We do not want FIGHTS an BIOTIC BOOM BOOM explotions ALL the fricking time.We are not horny Teenagers !
We want Story atmosphere and characters and DIALOGUE FOR GODS SAKE!!!!
Mass Effect team you are becoming VERY dissapointing
+1. Mass effect team is doing it SO wrong!!
some FACTS:
Me1 cooldowns were a minute long
Me2 cooldowns were a few seconds long
Me3 cooldowns were Instant.
Screw this.
