I loved it! Thought it was awesome.
Expected to see everybody here ****ing & moaning & complaining about it. You guys have nothing good to say about anything. You hate everything & that's why this world sucks so badly. Nice job making life miserable for everybody. You're doing a great job! Keep on hating! It's what you're best at.
Seeing as you're one of the few here to have enjoyed Omega, why not tell us what you liked. From what I can gather, this latest DLC is a bunch of kill rooms tacked together with the now obligatory action cut scenes. What does Omega do well?
What do you expect retaking Omega to be like? We go in & kick Cerberus out. Lots of fighting, not much else to it. What more would you expect? Some kind of deep emotional story that changes everything, makes the endings awesome & makes all the haters happy? Before it was released we all knew what to expect. And it delivered. So what is there to complain about? We got exactly what retaking Omega should have been. Fighting Cerberus, nothing more.
And I'm one of the few here that actually enjoy anything related to Mass Effect. I love the series & don't need to constantly ****** & moan about every little thing. It's the greatest game series PERIOD! Nothing else even comes close.

So, why Cerberus was so interested in Omega? What about the Collector Base?

Apparantly they're just using Omega as a staging ground for their army and a test site for some creepy research.locsphere wrote...

I knowwww.... it saddens me to think what they could have done with this DLC - the whole Omega relay/Collector Base story could have been explored... but alas no, instead we spent 95% of the DLC shooting at Cerberus.

Final choice of Bring Down the Sky. Overlord reveal. Reconnecting with Liara (plus 2 great bosses).
From what I´ve read, there´s not that "something else" here. Anyone knows if Origin does DLC sales? I think I´ll skip this other wise.

So, Omega is good because it affords players the opportunity to fight Cerberus some more? How are the combat encounters? Are the new enemies challenging?

Awful, truly and utterly awful.
I wish I could get my money back. Well, it's the last time I've made this mistake. If the ME team is no longer interested in making RPGs that's fine. I'll just have to search a company who still makes them.
A pity. I truly loved the ME universe.

You realize that 95% of any content in the ME series is action right? LoTSB you have the short investigation scene, a bunch of shooting, a car chase, more shooting, then you are whisked away to the SB lair for...wait for it, more shooting.
That's not to say SB isn't well done, it is great but combat/action (and by action in ME they filled it up with the "action" of driving the MAKO about) be it in ME or DA or BG is the filler that makes up the overwhelming (90%+) majoirty of the the content of the game. For all the pretentions about story based gaming and the way fans act about story the reality is that these are games that are largely combat based and very grind-y in their own way.

By character assassination you mean Oleg? I didn't find him to be far off base tbh.MisterJB wrote...
Lack of player agency, lack of replayability, one of my favorite characters in ME suffering character assassination of the first degree. No complexity whatsover, just lots of pew-pew.

i didnt buy it and by the feedback im glad i didn't as there pre release quotes saying it's there biggest yet and it's strong reminded me of there lies pre release before ME3.......how long did it take you too finish it? as iv'e read alot that it's 2-3hours on average which clearly isn't strong or big by any stretch..........even worse is you cant even use your other dlc with it ( javik/appearance pack) as u can't take squadmates.......

I've got a question. So far i've read mostly negative things about the DLC. But Bioware obviously thought that they were offering something special in this DLC that justifies the increased price of this DLC. In your opinion, what is in this DLC that justifies this price increase?
The environment art is pretty nice, and I suppose all the cutscenes would have cost a bit.
But there's not a killer feature that makes this worth $5 more than LotSB, or even Leviathan.

Yeah, kind of disappointed this didn't work in the Omega-4 Relay at all. Helloooo all those abandoned ships and undiscovered tech.
Now, THAT could have been interesting.

Also, I'm the type of person who looks into every single corner. So we can't say I rushed the DLC. We really-really can't. I was promised a DLC that is muuuuch longer than all the previous ones. It took maybe twenty minutes longer than finishing LotDB. And then LotSB had tons of content to read and mess around with when it was finished. So the price tag shouts rip-off. It should have been a standard 800/560 BioWare Points DLC. That's exactly what it worths.
It's an ok DLC, not bad, much better than Overlord, not nearly as good as Lair of the Shadow Broker (and I hate the bossfight in that one, feels out of place), don't get me wrong.
But when it was over, I said: Oh, yeah, that's a long DLC as it was announced, we surely have Omega back! Surprsie. We can surely land on Omega, reexplore it and DO STUFF.
No, we don't.
I'm not disappointed with the DLC itself, I'm disappointed with price and hype vs content in the DLC.
It's something that can be remedied pretty simply in the future:
1) Don't say it's almost twice the size of previous DLCs when it isn't.
2) Don't overprice a DLC based on the false statement above.

He says the right things every now and again but ultimately, he acts like an elite mook, nothing else.
This could have been a great story about the lawlessness of freedom vs the restrictions of civilization.
Instead it's simply lots of shooting. Nothing bloody else!

Dead serious, they were using the civilian alien population for Adjutant expriments. It worked btw. Oleg had himself a few tame ones. They were going to be Cerberus' new army.Jere85 wrote...
