I think not having a choice of who gets put in charge of Omega drives that point more than Oleg himself. Nyreen dies Oleg gets captured or killed. Aria always gets the station, granted if you play paragon all the way through she, seems a bit nicer. The the stroy element felt flat to me.MisterJB wrote...

By character assassination you mean Oleg? I didn't find him to be far off base tbh.
He says the right things every now and again but ultimately, he acts like an elite mook, nothing else.
This could have been a great story about the lawlessness of freedom vs the restrictions of civilization.
Instead it's simply lots of shooting. Nothing bloody else!

So, why Cerberus was so interested in Omega? What about the Collector Base?

I'd give it a solid 7/10. Plenty of combat, but I just didn't particularly care about Aria or her plight story wise. I'm docking two further points for not allowing squadmates (it's lazy), and for the pretty major glitches I encountered. Aria bugged out on me twice, forcing a reload in order to trigger a cutscene to continue. I do hope the Frostbite engine is easier for you guys to code with, as glitches on the Unreal engine is a pretty tough thing to pull off.
I look forward to any future DLC, and excited for Mass Effect 4, but please take your time with it. And make it a next gen console launch. Trust me, we can wait.

Do not take this the wrong way, but there isn't much plot to spoil. If you read the comics, you already know what to expect. Aria's been chased off of Omega, you help her take it back. On the way, you discover you need the help of the Talon gang that has filled the void that Shepard left after ME2. Nyreem turns out to be the leader, it turns out that Aria and Nyreem were once lovers. Adjutants show up a couple of times and Cerberus has been trying to create implants to control them. Nyreem later dies trying to save citizens from the adjutant threat, Aria gets mad, you finish off Petrovsky or save him for intel purposes.
@Saito: The comic already spoiled their interest. Aria had arrangements with Cerberus to let them use the Omega 4 Relay, TIM decided to cut out the middle man.
Thank you for the infos!
Waiting for Dec.4th.

Considering Leviathan was not something mind blowing i am not getting this Dlc at that rediculous price. I am not giving away 15 euros just to shhot Unarmored cerberus troops again and again.Exodusith wrote...
Well, I enjoyed it I guess. Not as good as Leviathan in my opinion, and certainly not as long (finished in under 3 hours). Some of the hype beforehand definitely misled on the length of this DLC.

Expected to see everybody here ****ing & moaning & complaining about it. You guys have nothing good to say about anything. You hate everything & that's why this world sucks so badly. Nice job making life miserable for everybody. You're doing a great job! Keep on hating! It's what you're best at.
So "everybody's" happiness and the condition of the world hinges on whether or not others like an overpriced DLC? haha Well, aren't you a little drama queen today!

You realize that 95% of any content in the ME series is action right? LoTSB you have the short investigation scene, a bunch of shooting, a car chase, more shooting, then you are whisked away to the SB lair for...wait for it, more shooting.
I think LotSB handled the pacing much better though, and the level design felt much less linear and 'grindy' than Omega. I felt like when fighting on Illium or the exterior of the Shadow Broker's ship we were actually progressing towards something; Omega's tunnels were claustrophobic and felt artificially lengthened.

Its just that when I was done I felt id just wasted time and money, mostly time though because after spending 3-4 hours freeing the terminus systems I still felt like I had achieved nothing. Is the DLC bad? no but its not very good either. Generic.

Omega pretty much stays the same as it is now. It stays the same price but unlocks new armor for you and your squad along with new weapons. The reason to retake Omega is more clear. Cerberus is doing experiments to control/create their own Husks using ReaperTech. Aria offers you her help and this info that could help fighting against the Reapers (or at least the Husks) in return for helping her retake Omega. Towards the end you get an interrupt option to save Nyreen and Aria stays on Omega and sends someone else to oversee things on the Citadel (they would then take Aria's spot in the club).
Omega becomes a hub world with shops and some fetch quests. As you explore you get a message from Aria. She has discovered that Cerberus has been sending teams into the Omega relay to rebuild/remodel the Collector Base and use ReaperTech to control the Collectors. You can then recruit Nyreen to your squad and choose whatever squadmates to take with you. You gain valuable information for the crucible, get to kill some Collectors again, get added LI/squad scenes and banter, gain some war assets, AND get to see Omega and Aria kick ass in an added cutscene to the ending. So is the idea cool or bust?

1200 Biopoints for 2 hours of quite boring shooting session against cerberus? Who camed up with this price. This dlc for me was shorter and far less exciting than lewiatan. Another wasted potential.
No more singleplayer DLC's for me anymore. If this is your quality / price ratio you are offering for me as customer then it was the last time i fell screwed over.
But lets summarize this dlc:
Adventages:
->Great intro and first 20-30 minutes of assault of omega
->Cool Semi-Horror scenes in mining area
->Also Cool Reactor mission
->Combat itself, but a little too predictable.
->Visiting ME2 locations
And here the adventages ends.
Disadventages:
-> Dlc is combat only, with no moral consequences except reactor scene!
-> Longer you play DLC, you realise how boring it is. Allow me to perform and experiment. Try to watch a movie which tooks 3 hours, including 2 hours of combat scenes against one main antagonist only. Constantly. No one will stand this, no matter how epic it would like to be.
->Right... 1200 Bioware point for 3 hours? I prefer to go to cinema for a SCI movie. Far Cheaper. Similar entertaiment lenght. For this price for me it was too short. If i recall necesarry time to complete Lewiatan was preety the same like Omega. And Lewiatan was far well written - more interesting and exciting...
-> No side quests at all except find between dead enemies bodies some object s/ terminals.
-> No NPC which you might interact to except Aria, Nyrren, and that Arias batiarian "do it" guy. I assume all of them are not giving a damn about famous commander shepard.
->No ME2 connection except Harrod, who mentions 'he might know you'.
-> Killing Nyrren - honestly ist this somekind of new way to introduce new characters? Yay let us hang for a while with quite interesting and well build character (Nyrren as Aria opposite personality was great idea) and kill him. It is so simple for scenario writers...
-> Wasted Potential of storyline. C'mon Omega is full of thugs and only Talons got organized? 1 gang and bunch of Aria's thugs were taking over omega, while most of her whole army retreated because of some upgraded cannons? I thougt i will have challenge to unite some criminal groups before final strike, it was not challenging at all. I just fell like i was shooting the loads of cerberus troops walking without sense from point A to B.
Ah yea right. Their "secret experiments". Wasted potential again.
->Finally the result of Omega does not effect the game at all. We are even not able to return to taken back station! Where is my discount for taking back Arias couch for Harrot! I didn't had chance to meet with him after completing this task! Oh wait i forgot about additional war assets. The one i got already a maximum value thanks to multiplayer.
-> Bugs, bugs, bugs. Again sometimes ladders are not working correctly/ characters are flying in air in elevators (for ex. reaching reactor). Shepard getting frozen during elevator conversation in about 200m from characters he speaks to.
->"Objections to normady squad mates" - Afraid of Archangel or what? Aria is resignig from a most advanced ship with cammo technology and whole most experienced, even galaxy best squad for no good, and clear reason. Great!
->Did you know that aria is still chilling out in citadel purgatory?
Sorry bioware but if this is path of game developement you are chosing, i'm done. I was your's ME fan since 2008, even companys fan since first KOTOR! but right now i feel that our ways just got separated for good. I'm forced to call it straight if you keep misleading 'money sucking' from 'gaming' you are going very fast to fall.
BEAWARE

Why did you enjoy it thoroughly? What specifics made it worth $15.00? What would you say about it that would encourage people to buy it? I have seen some pretty detailed reasons as to why people say it was mediocre and wasn't worth the price, but most(not all) of the positive reviews consist of "I enjoyed it." Or, "I enjoyed it thoroughly. >Insult people who don't agree with me.<"
So, again, what makes it worth it?
