Help me not suck so bad

I have played for a while now, not a lot at once, but usually about 10 games in a week, but not every week do i play.
So anyway,
I have maxed out my starting weapons at 10, and working on maxing veteran pack weapons.
In the past i had ignored these and in spectre packs i have gotten the gps, disciple (my fave gun), and a carnifex.
I usually like playing the adepts/sentinels/vanguards in that order of pref.
So the problem i have, is i feel like i am blasting and shooting as hardcore as i can, but i find very dissappointedly at the end that i am only scoring about 15-20k points after extraction on silver. A lot of biotic power setups for combos goes to waste i find as travel time takes so long and the rest of the team kills it before i can set that up, heck i can sometimes barely get a warp off before it gets killed. I feel like i am working very hard to compete but in the end it just doesnt look that way. This is the normal game for me on silver.
Adepts i would use stasis which would increase damage to targets, warp to strip armor and increase wep/power damage done to target. I try for combos but it is usually dead before they go off.
What other info you need from me to help me look like i have some skill?
What should i be doing to, i dont know, show i am doing better in score and kills?

We will play Gold later this night ( extraction rate is 95%+ ), at around 8PM GMT+1 and we always take in rookies.
We take our time explaining things and give you backup while practicing them in game, so if you want training wheels we are able to provide.

You can add me as well, but if you add KalilKareem, we will sooner or later end up playing anyway.

Asari Adept is a bit complicated. First, it´s important for her to not have lag as two of her powers have trajectory and can miss targets due to lagging. The same two powers can be(and are) dodged. Warp+throw is combo that is little harder to make. It takes long for powers to cooldown and I often find myself recasting one or another, simply because enemies are dodging either warp or throw. This way most of mooks are indeed dead from spray of bullets long before biotic explosion occures. I find stasis+throw or stasis+warp much more reliable combo. And I use warp+throw on bosses.
BTW, you can also add me, if you want. Although I will be around in about 6 hrs. My ID is same: Aetika

The only way to compete with these guys is to basically follow them - use the same characters, learn the spawn points (you always see the guys head to the lower room on Glacier at the start of every wave), or find your own niche.
There are far fewer snipers in the game, so If you can get some practice with the Sniper you can find you get very good results from a distance, and furthermore often steal a few of your own kills with headshots. I was topping Silver a week ago with a Human Male Infiltrator, carrying a Javelin III and a Predator X, using Snap freeze for the stasis effect and Javelin for headshot damage. Just get your shot in quick. (The Predator is the lightest pistol and I only carry it for that Dragoon creeping up behind me). You say you have all the basic weapons so an Infiltrator with Mantis and Predator could be a good starting point.
The other thing to say is that Vanguards are probably the most powerful characters up to Silver, and in the hands of an experienced player, so you could try experimenting with that class. Either way, try getting some head shots in for a big bonus, and if you can manage a grab or two you're starting to rock and roll.

2) get use to lower rank weapon before trying rarer ones, especially ARs
3) once you are comfortable with silver weapons, get use to GPS
4) learn the right mod combos for each gun and character
5) be quick in game, but not reckless. Always check your flank and move in if you can.
6) if you don't use explosive weapon, aim for the head
7) Aim for the head
8) use your powers in conjunction with your guns, load up the right gun for the right power
9) Aim for the head

Another tip is to fire a few shots at your enemy before casting a projectile power like warp or incinerate. Shooting them will get them to roll, which means they won't roll when you cast your power (enemy's dodges are on a cooldown like our powers).
If you have the Asari Justicar unlocked I would recommend using her. She has the same pull to reave combo as the Drell, but also has the Biotic Bubble. Always spec it for Warp as the final evolution. Also, no matter how you spec it, casting it over a primed enemy will cause a biotic explosion. So even at level 1, Reave to Bubble will detonate.
Good luck

Seriously?
On Silver you can do a pretty good job with it. It's a normal gun, a good gun for casters.
Hell, I seen even people using it on Gold and they did a good job with it.

The way I got better ultimately was to set benchmarks on myself in a game. I try to get at least ten headshots in a game, 25 tech/biotic kills, 25 weapon kills, and a couple of grabs. That is the minimum I set for myself having a good game.

Problem is there are so much better guns if he's going for score and killing efficiency.Astaiir wrote...

Even at low levels the Carnifax wrecks, if he has the paladin even better. But the headshots just build up with the thing, it seems to net me more headshots than just about any other weapon.wirelesstkd wrote...
Didn't the disciple just get buffed last week? And the Carnifax was nerfed some time ago. I'm assuming that OP doesn't have the Carnifax at X, either, since it's gold and he says he's working on his uncommons right now. All said, the Disciple is probably a fine gun for him (though I still prefer Carnifax X to Disciple X every day of the week on my Vanguards).
