acolyte. that will help you deal with shields/barriers so you can knock them around with throw and make sure you have warp set to debuff.
as an adept, it might be a good idea to sit in a safe covered area that where you can see a lot of the map and just pick off targets that your team isn't focusing on. and then assist with warp debuffing on the mini/boss spawns.
if you want more killing power, i suggest using an asari valkyrie sentinel.
-tech armor for 40% damage reduction and also a boost to power dmg.
-annihilation field which primes enemies for biotic explosions, can make you run a bit faster and regen some shields
-warp for the BE and armor debuffing
-give her a shotgun and you're good to go. personal preference is the Graal or Raider maybe Wraith
Help me not suck so bad

If you find that most stuff gets killed by team mates before you can get there that is usually a sign of 'spawn knowledge'. As in the your team knows where things are going to spawn and set up accordingly and you don't quite have it down pat.

I too kinda feel like the OP.
Even in bronze often. Certain class combos im decent with.
But so many i just SUCK lol.
Volus, Turians, Krogan, least 70% of the characters i must be mentally challenged when i play them. so many just dont "click"
I played on 360 back at release, now PC only.
I tried playing a human adept just a few minutes ago, did awful in a team.
by 5th round i had MAYBE 3k points.
Tried a solo run, made it to wave 7, wtf lol.
Seems the "old" adepts and techuser classes are not as fast at killing as a lot of the new ones.
Maybe im crazy. Hate having 2k+ trophy and looking like a noob half the time.

When home tonight i will add you guys, and the help is greatly appreciated.
thx Ç)
Wish I could play with you, I'm on 360 though. Good luck in your efforts! You'll get there. A lot of the things I learned that helped me to play on Gold consistently nowadays I learned from here. I never thought I'd be able to play Gold, but thanks to the folks on these here forums, I do.
You'll get there. You'll totally get there.

Even at low levels the Carnifax wrecks, if he has the paladin even better. But the headshots just build up with the thing, it seems to net me more headshots than just about any other weapon.wirelesstkd wrote...
Didn't the disciple just get buffed last week? And the Carnifax was nerfed some time ago. I'm assuming that OP doesn't have the Carnifax at X, either, since it's gold and he says he's working on his uncommons right now. All said, the Disciple is probably a fine gun for him (though I still prefer Carnifax X to Disciple X every day of the week on my Vanguards).
It's been a while since my Carnifax was at level I, but if I recall, at that level weight is an issue for a caster. At X it gets you to a 200% cooldown, but at I it was less than that (again, IIRC). This is probably a big consideration for OP, since he says he likes playing casters and vanguards.

Yeah, carnifax is very heavy if you only have I or II, III.
Balance of proper guns to proper class to right power setups is prolly my biggest hiccup.
Having no "friends" on pc does not help either.
pugs are like 4 person solo matches usually.
I feel if you dont play with better people you dont get better.
If you dont know better players, your stuck with PUGs.
Vicious cycle ive not been able to break yet lol
