 Krogan Mechanic (Engineer)

Keystone Pylon (or Shockwave Pylon)
Place an immobile pylon that thumps the ground, radiating a tech explosion that staggers nearby enemies. Allies near the Keystone Pylon gain increased melee and tech damage. Only one may be placed at a time. Placement animation is similar to that of the N7 Destroyer Engineer's Supply Pylon. Pulses will 'not' detonate Tech primers.

Base - Keystone Pylon: Deals 125 damage to enemies in a 3.5 meter radius every 6 seconds. Cooldown, 12 seconds base. Nearby allies receive 5% increased Tech and Melee damage.
2 - Cooldown: Decreases cooldown time by 20%.
3 - Amplify1: Increases the Tech and Melee bonus by 2.5%.
4a - Radius: Increase the radius of the pylon by 35%.
4b - Frequency: Increases the frequency of the pulses by 40%.
5a - Amplify2: Increases the Melee and Tech damage bonus by 5%.
5b - Damage: Increases the damage of the Keystone Pylon by 30%.
6a - Incinerating Pylon: Enemies struck by  the pylon are also dealt fire damage, and set aflame.
6b - Amplify3: Increases the Tech and Melee bonus by 7.5%.

Omni-Lash
Harpoon an enemy at range and pull them toward you. Like "Lash", but tech based. Omni-Lash "will" detonate Tech primed enemies.

Base - Omni-Lash: Deals 75 damage on impact, pulls enemies toward you. 6 second cooldown base, 10 meter range.
2 - Cooldown: Decreases the cooldown time by 15%.
3 - Damage: Increase the damage done by your lash by 20%.
4a - Range: Increases the range by 5 meters.
4b - Damage: Increases the damage by 30%.
5a - Explosive Lash: Damage of the impact is spread to two additional targets within 3 meters.
5b - Cooldown: Decreases the cooldown time by 35%.
6a - Cryo-Lash: Enemies struck will be snap frozen.
6b - Multi-Lash: Omni-Lash will pull an additional target within 3 meters of the impact.

Energy Drain
It's Energy Drain...

So the premise of this character is to play at medium range, pulling enemies in with Lash before landing a Krogan headbutt on them or making them eat your Keystone Pylon. Setting up a pylon in choke points can allow for big damage, while also priming them (if you have the Incinerate T6 evolution) for Fire Explosions. Energy Drain gives the Krogan additional shields so he can survive his melee fun-ness.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Mmm energy drain doesn't seem like a very Krogan power. Neither does the pylon (a camping power? On a Krogan? lolno).

Plus all the Krogans so far have had some kind of armour power. I'd go Fortification, Arc Grenades and Snap Freeze maybe?

Energy Drain Tier 6 evolution lets you take 40% less damage, just throwing that out there.

Sounds good, though I'm not sure how I feel about Lash. Funny, I was thinking of the Krogan Scout (Infiltrator) from ME2 but the Krogan Mechanic (Engineer) would work, too.

there was a Krogan Mechanic/Engineer on Tuchanka in ME2 when you go to visit Wrex. Same as there was a Shaman...

Fortack, yeah. But he was fixin' trucks, mostly. And, he was probably one in a million

But anyway, mine was more a joke than anything. We've seen proposal for much more lore-conflicting kits ^_^

The mechanic will be underpowered unless someone finds him a combustion manifold.

It's the n7 demolisher, just wanted to let you know for a quick edit :)

I really like the idea, but we'd probably have to switch energy drain for a passive armor technique, considering all krogan's have one.

The keystone pylon is pretty tight though!!!

Cluster Inferno/frag/homeing grenades or ballistic blades
and a field heal/stim kit that heals allies in a short radius and give a RoF/dmg boost works like a grenade thing or a short time turret
and fortification

but he would be missing out on tech explotion yea..

his idea would be to keep the team rolling while still being krogan enough himself

dunno I don't think it's very "krogan like".

I like the omni-lash (get a kind of "harpoon" feel to). But we already has lash, on the other hand the evos seem to be quit differente from the normal lash.

The other powers I would like the see on a Krogan Engineer would be Incinerate and Flamer. The keystone thing and Energy Drain just don't have a Krogan feel to them imo.

I love krogan, but we've got plenty. More salarians first, please.

Need to buff those numbers a bit. Especially the tech and melee bonuses, and the damage done by each power.

I like the fact that there actually are ppl who just don't pick numbers out their arse to make OP lulz classes

I never got why people seemed baffled at any race having an engineer.

I know space magic is the new fad but really how does any race have their own spaceships, vehicles, weapons, etc. without even having a group of capable engineers? If anything every race should have someone in that class. Plus in ME2 and ME3 you see and meet Krogan Engineers on Tuchanka.

I would expect that if we saw a Krogan Engineer it would be a fire based class.

I had made the suggestion that it be something like this in a previous thread:

Incinerate
Snap Freeze/cryoblast
Immolate- Dark Channel in fire form- instead of jumping from target to target after death the remaining dot is comsumed at death and explodes around the dying mob.

This would give it decent CC with snap freeze/cryoblast. The ability to opt out of 1 ability to max out rage and still have the ability to cause combos.

Truthfully I realize what people are saying that all races should have engineers but to me when I think of Krogans I think low tech. So what came to mind was a welder so thats why I went with the abilities chosen.

If the vorcha get a engineer i think the Krogans should get one as well in principle but I'd see a salarian sentinel first (tech armour energy drain and reave anyone?)
