I don't really believe in shooting at someone for doing something "dumb" or making mistakes.
If I can, I revive them, no matter how often they die. It's just a game after all.

... Or when they're a Vorcha.

But only on Bronze. Well actually I think I shoot at someone in a silver match too, but he/she was sending biotics after me many times.
Oh and I shoot at people who don't come over to the extraction point or do the objectives, I hate people who only play for kills.
You get more xp and cash for doing the objectives!

Same. Any melee is a sign of approval. Using ammo on them means I'm pissed with them.NuclearTech76 wrote...
Usually it "friendly fire" is not friendly in my experience.
Melee is like a high five to me. I shoot someone when they're doing something stupid. I don't waste ammo unless you ****** me off.

Thanks for the frank and funny discussion, ya'll!
To sum up so far: melee is a sign of approval, shooting is a sign of rage.
Caveat: some of players do like to shoot other avatars just for fun, and one has to be careful about sending a mixed message. Perhaps, an announcement over a mic: "and now, I will shoot at you to express my comradery", would help. :-)
Note: if you a volus, prepare to be shot at (people simply adore your voice comments).

I get shot a lot because I'm the master of (mostly accidental) kill-steals. I shoot people outside the hack circle, or jokingly (with friends) when they steal my guardian or husk kills.
lol!

However during actual combat I will not stop firing if someone walks in front of me. Anything that gives cover penetration will let your shots pass through them and keep hitting the enemy. Its kinda funny to get kills while shooting through a teammate.

I just ignore it when someone do it to me.
I only like people meleeing me when they are Krogan.
When me and other person are Krogan, we headbutt all~ day.

Never considered doing that, might keep it in mind for next time.Fjortis wrote...
That's when I tend to unload a clip into teammate's bodies when I get the chance.

Same. I shoot at people who:
-Don't revive downed squadmates even though they are right next to them;
-Ignore the Objectives and go running to the other side of the map to get more kills;
-Walk in front of me and block my line of sight when I'm playing a Sniper class;
-Use the Missile Launcher on a single standard mook (yes, it happens);
-Instantly uses Medi-Gel the very moment they go down without even waiting to see if a teammate will come and revive them...on BRONZE...
In short: if I shoot you it means you either did something to ****** me off or you were being a complete ****** during the match.

I used to do this, but they hardly ever notice in the heat of battle. Now i'll either ignore them (if playing with other randoms who are in the circle) or leave the circle and stand right in front of them meleeing/shooting or whatever to get their attention and remind them that there's an objective to be completed (if i'm playing in a group with two other friends). If that doesn't work we'll all leave the circle and go kill stuff. The objective isn't getting completed until the random who expects us to carry him/her actually gets off their arse and helps.

I've got a mic, but with randoms I find it better to shoot them than to tell them to stop being idiots, and have them either rage quit or sabotage the rest of the match.Pathetisad wrote...
People who 'rage shoot' are usually the ones too cheap to buy a mic

what's a headbutt among friends?
It's the "WE ARE KROGAN".....people will actually get upset if you do not join in as a Krogan at the end of a good wave
