I am not sure whether or not to buy Omega DLC, so I'd like to know if it is worth it. If it's just mindless combat, I won't be getting it, I want to have a story and character interactions in a DLC. So I'd like to know if you like Omega and if yes, could you recommend it to me? Once it's out and you've played through it, please post your opinions here and PLEASE, avoid spoilers at any cost.

Somone said he completed it in 2.5 hour on insanity.
I know the time is not a reference, but, is it actualy longer than leviathan or same ? or shorter ?

Its better than Leviathan, & by a distance as well. Omega looks stunning. Well its also more expensive so.

Finished on Hardcore in about 2.75 hours but was really dogging it poking into corners. I'd say 2.5 is the "right" time.

Better than Leviathan...less gimmicky. More straight forward. Still not Shadow Broker good.

Is it just more combat, or is there actual story and character development going on?

There's a story. It is a pretty simple story but you have character interactions, you have moral choices to make. The interactions are basically all Nyrene and Aria so it isn't a wide array of people to interact with. There are some teeny tiny doesn't much matter/not interesting side quests. I felt like in the choices I made in regards to Aria and Nyrene I had a chance to express who my Shep was.

Thanks. That actually sways me towards picking it up. I'm just a little bothered by how short everyone says it is.

If you like shooting at Cerberus for 2 hours you'll love it.

Ah, that´s good at least. People in the thread I opened said it was boring. But I still don´t get why the heck is it so expensive? Did Aria´s voice actress get payed that much? :D

Damn, I was hoping for some, "OMG OMEGA IS AMAZIN!!1" threads to motivate me to buy this. Looks like I'll wait until there's another Xbox sale before I get it.

I never liked the whole Cerberus as a villain in ME3. It didn't make sense logistically or narratively. I mean the reapers having an almost endless supply of ground troops makes sense, but TIM? How did that happen?

Sanctuary and brainwashing, enough said about that.

Yeah, they never handled that transition well, especially if you saved the Collector Base in ME2, which meant that you were still part of Cerberus (which is all of a sudden retconned in ME3).  Anyway, I'm still on the fence about this DLC.  I might just wait till it's on sale unless I hear more positive things.  $15 is a lot to ask at this point.  I miss the days of $5 DLC like Bring Down the Sky.....

What I've heard:
Impressive, but that extra $5 is not worth it.

Indoctrination creates power armors and weapons for an entire galactic army plus mechs, gunships an entire galactic fleet?

Good to know.

Neither of those is a legit answer. Sanctuary didn't have that many people. And even if they did. ALL of them have military training and knowledge of tactics? Where is he getting his munitions and weapons? How is he producing his ships? How does he feed or even coordinate an army? What's the command structure? The reapers give us all of that info. Cerberus as the main villain in ME3 wasa poor choice.

so, why the heck is this DLC $15 if it's only 2.5 hours?

No, lots of money does though.  At least before the war started but after, they could've easily taken over various factories and such.

The payoff for doing the DLC is horrible so it's definitely not worth it. Nothing you do is reflected in the game after you finish so why bother?

Sanctuary did have a ton of people.  Training doesn't take that long- basic training is weeks not years and they are augmented to fight. Weapons and ammo just take cash and Cerberus is flush with cash and they're getting a little lagniappe from Udina. Isn't those financials what gets the Salarian councilor onto him to begin with?

Cerberus was important because that 3rd column is a part of what the reapers do and how they fight.

Not worth the money and it is a shame what they did to the new characters.
