Your Best Game: What was it? And how do you quantify it?

More importantly how do you quantify success in a game? Is it a measure of time, score, medals, lack of consumable use, or competition against elite players? Do you consider it more of an accomplishment to score 200K in a bad lobby, lead the scoreboard with skilled players, or simply do really well without spawn bombing and have max medals at the end of the match? What matters to you when deciding whether you had a good game or not?

Best game I had was the early days of the game, playing a Gold match back when any given player had 2 URs at most and no one had 5 consumables of every type yet. Drell Adept, against Reapers, team wiped on Wave 7 and I had to run around doing space judo and reave spam like a cracked out jedi lizard. Back then, that was quite a feat.

I honestly don't remember many details of this gold match from about when the fury came out, but I managed to run and teleport through a charging brute, escaping by a hair. And I fn loved it. So uhh good deal.

Dagger, Cerberus.
Top of the scoreboard, miles ahead.
Don't give a damn what anybody else says, the game's about score. I don't go into game lookin to survive, ya understand? I go in with the mind set of topping that board, see? That's the name of the game baby.

Watching the mooks flying one way only to suddenly change direction mid-flight was so lulzy.
Bosses didn't last long either with all that Smash.

Best game=most epic, memorable, enjoyable game. Scores and times are for e-peen contests (which of course are epic, memorable, and enjoyable for some folks here).

nice, indeed it was. Im glad I was around since the ME3 demo because of your story. It's like we've aged during the war and we can look back on what we didn't have back then and all the new faces that are learning the ropes and who couldn't dream of life without that harrier.

Sittin' on our space rocking chairs on Firebase Giant (since that's where us old timers learned back in the day), talkin' bout them good ol' days when people were afraid to play Gold until after weeks of practice on Silver, when the Carnifex and GPS were kings, and the Krysae was an abomination a long ways off from ever being born, and certain aliens weren't aloud to vote.

London Reapers Gold, the lag was so bad that the proxy mine was literally detonating after 10 seconds, not kidding, and we got the infamous center hack on wave 10. We still got Full extraction because of me despite that hellish lag. It was impossible to shoot anything because of the extreme lag so I used my proxy mine as best as I can to make it through the whole match. Similar game was a failed attempt on Wave 10 on Cerberus Jade Gold with N7 Shadow with equally as extremely bad lag, unfortunately I got sync-killed from 20 meters away by a phantom.

I normally do not play melee on gold, especially against Collectors. I was not prepared. I had no consumables equipped. We ended up on Dagger, a map with too much open space to charge freely without getting shot.
I spent the entire match frantic... and then I had to clutch wave 10 because two people got Praetorian'd and the other didn't gel from an Abominuke.
Maybe I didn't do spectacularly, I wasn't playing the most useful character and I didn't have the bonuses, but I survived damnit and it felt awesome.
