I didn't get an interupt to save her and I was wondering if there is any way to let her survive the assault.  The way she went out like a chump is second only to the Darth Maul's death in the pantheon of cool characters that died way too quickly.  I overrided the shield generators power source and wounded her in the process; does not doing that and sacrificing the civilians change the fatal outcome during the final assault on Afterlife?

From what people have said, the DLC plays out the same regardless of what choices you pick.

Well, you can hope the model gets introduced to multiplayer mode. Then you can pretend you genetically reconstructed her.

I don't even know what happens to her. I hope she didn't jump into the Synthesis beam....

Not only is this a wasted opportunity but also the fact that Omega just simply disappears once completed. No going back, no hub, nothin'. Oh, and Aria's happy ass is back in Purgatory....it's like it never happened.

But that would mean Shepard lives.

And as bad as Synthesis is. Synthesis with Shepard is much better than Synthesis without Shepard.

From what I've heard, they weren't very ambitious with this DLC. Is this true?

A damn shame. I thought Nyreen was the best thing about the Omega DLC. Fair play, it's Biowares story but I don't understand why they kill off so many characters with great potential. Nyreen, Nihlus, Vasir - it would have been great to think there was a chance we might bump into these characters again at some point.

I don't really understand why because it was so abrupt, but I'm that bothered because she was a pretty bland and underdeveloped character anyway.

Why are people complaining? Does EVERY single choice you make have to have an impact?

Oh well?  If Bioware wanted to kill her, it's their right to kill her.  It's like you guys think player agency trumps the developer's story desires.

would have liked to see Nyreen and Aria reunited as Queen and, well Queen of Omega... but then again, I'm a romantic at heart...

It's like you think "the developer's story desires" are automatically above reproach.

Ah, come on... tell that to all side characters and one former companion which were killed by writers, twitter and ANN...

I´ll give you a hint... there is whole pile of dead bodies...

Maybe there was a breath scene if you had enough war assets?

Um.. that would be the entire point of making a choice.  If it was supposed to be predetermined and written in stone, it wouldn't be a choice.. now would it?

Um, yeah. Kind of the point of including choice in a game in the first place.

Oh well? If people that bought the thing feel the need to complain, it is their right to complain. It's like you guys think that developer's artistic integrity forbids consumers from complaining.
