Why are people complaining? Does EVERY single choice you make have to have an impact?
Is there any way to save Nyreen?

Oh well? If Bioware wanted to kill her, it's their right to kill her. It's like you guys think player agency trumps the developer's story desires.
Please get out. Mass Effect is an RPG, it's all about choices. The fact the DLC plays out the same regardless of choice is just plain stupid for a game that is ALL ABOUT CHOICES. God some people are thick as ****.

That same company also continues to go on about how it's YOUR story and YOUR experience. So either you're confused about BioWare's creative role, BioWare is confused about BioWare's creative role, or it's both.

Personally, it's more like I could go for some decent writing. I don't care who the developers kill or how the story plays out, as long as I get a reasonable amount of roleplaying room in which to develop Shepard, and it's written well. ME3 was pretty patchy in both respects.
For example, there's a lot of death in DA:O that's unavoidable no matter what the player does. Same with KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, and ME1/2. I'm fine with it. It's well-written, and it doesn't dictate to me what kind of character I must play or what s/he must believe. I can't always say the same of ME3.

Nyreen's death felt really forced and unecessary to me.
No. She did what she always did, what was important to her and what was mentioned several times throughout the DLC: She saved civilians.
She was surrounded by many enemies and for her it was the only choice in that moment to save the civilians around her.

I didn't get an interupt to save her and I was wondering if there is any way to let her survive the assault. The way she went out like a chump is second only to the Darth Maul's death in the pantheon of cool characters that died way too quickly. I overrided the shield generators power source and wounded her in the process; does not doing that and sacrificing the civilians change the fatal outcome during the final assault on Afterlife?
I totally agree with you. Nyreen is among the coolest and most beautiful characters to die so dmned early.

And Petrovsky. Aria might as well have killed him for how pathetic he was in the last moments. The one decent Cerberus character left and Bioware ruins him. And I didn't even get his suit as a casual outfit. Bah. I think I liked Leviathan better, because its conclusion was amazing compared to Omega's.
Nyreen though... </3
She was the best part of the campaign, imo.

Nay :'( - it suits her character, but I was all for crowning her Queen of Omega.

Ditto. I thought Nyreen was honestly one of the best things they did with ME3. And she was a DLC character that they scrapped at the end. It's like Bioware wants me to hate this game.
Oh well, at least I have lash now. So the next time I'm feeling masochistic enough to put myself through the ME3 campaign I can do it with one of my favorite powers

I will throw money at them for more Nyreen content, prior to 3, in any media form.

Really, is it just me or BioWare takes a lot of pleasure into killing their own interesting characters ? Oddly enough, there are a lot of Turians. Nihlus, Saren, Pallin, Victus and now Nyreen ? I mean, Victus & Pallin might not be "interesting", but they were also characters I appreciated.
I couldn't even finish the DLC ; when I reached that point, all I did was watching in misery, pounding my desk and almost crying. This DLC's structure in fact reminds me of the end of the game itself : the mission is great, but, the last act is bull****.
I'm even wondering why they didn't kill off Aria instead. YES. I said that. In my book, Aria deserved it much more than Nyreen. Why do they even try to create a DLC in which the focus is an interesting character that's easy to get attached to, only for them to kill after 3h of gameplay ? Do they really want us to hate them ? I can understand for Nihlus but this... ugh. I feel cheated.
In the end, 15€ for THIS ? I remember Lair Of The Shadow Broker being longer, and Leviathan was just a bit shorter.

Yea safe to say im not impressed and to press everyone else's point to the idiot that said do the choices need to make an impact, yes sir indeed they do, it's not Mass Effect if they dont, choices have mattered from Genesis of the series why would they stop now.
What an utter disappointment from a Mass Effect DLC

Are you ****ing kidding me? She's back on the citadel? WOW. just wow.
Yep. Apparently she's able to better coordinate the rebuilding of Omega from a couch on the Citadel...wait that doesn't seem quite right.

No, it's absolutely logical. Her couch on Omega is all wet and inapropriate for royal buttpressing. You can't really expect Aria reinstating her reign, sitting on rickety wooden stool of some sort?Yep. Ah but Harot gave her couch back, so there's not even that satirical excuse.
