Nyreen's fate was completely and utterly unforgivable.

But to add insult to injury... she's not even mentioned in the end. Not even once. It's like Aria forgot she even existed.
Typical goddamn Super MAC writing. My jimmies have never been this rustled.

Edit: But you're right, their writing skills are hanging by a thread at the moment.

...And really, so because there's not a throwaway line that she's dead, it's a crime? Good lord.

I would hate to see how you react to the walking dead. They bring in new people only to kill them off in 10 mins in most episodes.

I couldn't get attached to such a minor character in 2 hours, personally, but he has a valid complaint. Didn't acknowledge her at all, imo.

My Nyreen
Such a cool and beautiful character just unavoidably killed off like that. Shame, Bioware, shame!!

I think a lot of people misinterpretted that scene. It looks as though she TRAPPED the adjutants in her Biotic Protector bubble, so that only her and the adjutants would be affected by the bombs. She did it to protect the civilians, which ties back to her entire arc in this DLC of "saving innocents".RiouHotaru wrote...

I dunno, I thought her death was handled alright. Even better to see Aria get reaaallly angry afterward, truly showing affection for someone other than herself for once.

I agree with you. I thought Nyreen's action was completely in character and Aria's reaction was great.

Agreed. After I saw it again, I noticed that she kept the adjutants inside her bubble to blow them up. At first I thought it was to protect herself. It's kind of hard to notice and you really need to have attention to detail.. In a way, it should've been presented a bit better.FlyinElk212 wrote...

The way she died did make sense for her character and I agree that it was good seeing Aria get mad afterwrds, but it would have been nice to be able to save her if you make the right decisions.Samtheman63 wrote...

I thought something might happen, keeping in mind the whole Turian attitude of "The needs of many outweigh the few," but I thought we might get a choice...like her or Aria.
Damnit damnit.

That would have been cool, I was thinking that with the "shutting down the reactor" part where you can do like three renegade actions or by pass the life-support system shutting down.
Maybe I'm a one of the few, but overall I liked the DLC.

Nyreen represented an order, one that actually spoke and cared for the people of Omega, that was challenging Aria's ruthlessness and depravity. She was also Aria's main squeeze at one point. For her to die, it signifies a paradox for Aria: to continue in her ways of control, or to honor her friend's death?
It doesn't signify anything. Maybe if Aria had even mentioned it for two seconds in the endgame, but no. I can invent things to add to bad stories all day and that may make it more satisfying for me but ultimately it doesn't make a bad story good.

Exactly.
Garrus should be squadmate at Omega /like EDI in Leviathan/, because of his experience as Archangel at Omega.
Poor Bioware.
