Nyreen's fate was completely and utterly unforgivable.

Yeah and some acknowledgment of Nyreen by Aria in Purgatory would be nice.

Looks like it's getting easier for me to skip this DLC. I never bought any in ME2 and now this interesting one seems to disappoint.ste100 wrote...

Vakarian could have saved her, if he had been allowed to come along.
Exactly.
Garrus should be squadmate at Omega /like EDI in Leviathan/, because of his experience as Archangel at Omega.
Poor Bioware.

I enjoyed the DLC, just had some things missing that would have taken it to super awesome.

You missed out with LotSB. Not just a high point for DLC, but something of a high point for the series as a whole.

This.
It was obvious she was going to die pretty early on. Her death wasnt cheap it had meaning I think, She overcame her fear of Adjutants, she died protecting civilians and elicited some form of emotion from Aria. All in a good days work for someone who was simply cannon fodder.
But only if space Batman had been there...

"Omega needs Aria, and the Talons need me. Sorry, Commander. My place is here."
That's all that would need to be said.
However, I can't help but also agree with this:
FlyinElk212 wrote...
It looks as though she TRAPPED the adjutants in her Biotic Protector bubble, so that only her and the adjutants would be affected by the bombs. She did it to protect the civilians, which ties back to her entire arc in this DLC of "saving innocents".
I dunno, I thought her death was handled alright. Even better to see Aria get reaaallly angry afterward, truly showing affection for someone other than herself for once.
I just think that it is a shame that our first female Turian gets forced to die, that the illusion of choice is once again given to us and we eat it up expecting change and choice but being railroaded into certain outcomes.
I think her death was well done. I just think there should have been a way to save her.

all's she wanted to do was save lives and she died doing EXACTLY what her character was all about.
she was the leader, the protector, the paragon. it was fitting to her character there was nothing unacceptable about it.
yeah the fact she's the first female turian we've ever had in the game and she died is abit of a annoying thing but at least she didnt go against her own character and die for no reason, she said for like half of the DLC something felt off. when she finally invesitaged she confronted her worst fear and saved lives.
seriously this is one thing you cant give bioware crap about, they did it right, you wont like it but they still did it right.

That's cool, yeah, it's true to her character... unfortunately ALL the civilians were already dead when she blew herself up.

Her blowing herself up was bad enough when there was no indication she needed to. Her unique power MAKES HER IMMUNE TO DAMAGE.
But to add insult to injury... she's not even mentioned in the end. Not even once. It's like Aria forgot she even existed.
Typical goddamn Super MAC writing. My jimmies have never been this rustled.

When Nyreen dies, Aria goes berserk and starts killing everyone, after 10 minutes you defeat Petrovsky (or whatever his name is) and Aria doesn't say a single ****ing word about her even if she helped retaking Omega. My jimmies were SO rustled. Bioware failed greatly in my opinion

Oh I'm not saying it is a bad death - it is true to her character, I just wish I could have had more conversations with her and know her more. It says a lot about the writers that she came across so well in such a short space of time.

She could have simply waited for Aria and Shepard.
