This mirrors my own situation, I think.Rip504 wrote...
Do you think ME4 will sell as good as ME3 when losing the "loud minority"? How many people are telling multiple others that ME3 is a bad game and BW has lost it's way? Hence they have lost money. FACT. Today I did not buy a 15$ DLC I had planned on buying. They lost that 15$ and potentially any further money I may have spent. As my close friends also feel the same. So today I can claim that BW has indeed started to lose profits they once had a hold upon.
Although I've committed to purchasing any ME3 DLC where the squad returns with new content (a promise I intend to keep), I don't have any plans or even desire to further invest in the franchise in the future. "ME4"? Not interested. This goes for other franchise-related products as well. Indeed, it's actually doubtful that I'll even be able to support the current team as they move to this new IP (and this is a hard sentiment to vocalize because I have such incredible respect for so many members of the team).
For somebody who's relied on BioWare since the original Baldur's Gate (and who owns every non-Star Wars, single-player PC game they've ever created, as well as all DLC released for each of them with the exception of Genesis, the last weapon pack, the recent appearance pack, and Omega), it's a pretty strange feeling that I'm no longer going to be a reliable customer (except for DA—as long as that team remains relatively inviolate, they don't have to worry about my support).
Time will tell if losing people like me is going to matter to them, but they are indeed losing some of us.

Everything about Omega seems to be a step back from Leviathan, which I considered to be excellent DLC.

Because they don't think they made a mistake and my gut feeling is telling me that they are targeting different audience now.

Bioware doesn't think they did anything wrong. In fact it's the plan. Bioware has a new business model to streamline their games to appeal to more demographics among gamers.
It's been going this way long before ME3 and this DLC came out
