[Jovian09 the genius accidentally posted this in the multiplayer forum first.]

Hey all, since BioWare has closed the Tech Support forum and the subsequent Answers HQ has been a horrible failure, I hope nobody minds too much if I post this here.

I'm a Collector's edition PC version owner. I just installed Omega DLC through Origin, but when I launch the game I get the message on the main menu telling me that the listed DLC (From Ashes) couldn't be authorized; Please log into the Alliance Network with the account used to purchase it -- which am already using since From Ashes came with the Collector's Edition. Everywhere else on Origin and BSN shows From Ashes as owned, registered and installed.

Is this an isolated issue or are other people reporting it? Is there a solution? Nothing I'm doing seems to work. any help would be much appreciated.

Exactly the same problem here. Can't play Omega.

Should we be talking to someone in particular about this you think? I left a ticket at EA help; will post again if it bears fruit.

I saw your post on the Answer HQ. We'll see. I won't get my hopes too high though. I guess I'll be the "refund guy" starting tomorrow morning...

Still nothing. I found this though:

Well, it looks like a new iteration of an old issue (having too much entitlements? what?). I'll try this...

EA Help hasn't been able to fix the problem, despite referencing the similar issue you posted the link to. The only (drastic) option I was offered was to have the whole game transferred to a different account, but that would invalidate my achievements and all my multiplayer progress. Think I'd rather hold out for some kind of word from BioWare.

You really should try with another tech... That's a dumb solution.

I don't think Bioware care: there is A TON of topics about being unable to play because of a sudden "unauthorized" DLC and they have done nothing about it.

You can play the DLC by deleting "From Ashes" via the Gibbed Savegame Editor for ME3. I don't know where to find it, shouldn't be too hard.
Once you have the editor : "Open", choose the character and save you wished to use, go to 'Raw",... then, in rank "5. Uncategorized", there is a line called "Dependent DLC". I deleted "From Ashes" from this option. Then, you have to "save" this state of your savefile (pick a new save!). Once in game, you can load the savefile you created.
Of course, you can't use the Particle Rifle, because it's tied to From Ashes.

I have resolved the issue: I had bought a (Collector) physical copy of the game alongside the Digital Collector one at launch. I just used the code given in the box for From Ashes and it updated it: I can play Omega with From Ashes.
Try to ask for another code for From Ashes, and redeem this code with Origin.

I'm afraid this issue will come back with the next DLC now.

Heh well im having tech support issues too :(
I bought and played Omega just fine yesterday, used my left over BW points on a PSP for MP all working lovely. I boot up ME3 this morning planning to try out my new huntress in MP then do another round of Omega and i get the 'Online Pass required' issue. Oh deep joy. It looks like i can do SP ok its not bringing up any dlc issues for me, however i can no longer access MP :(
Currently waiting for live chat to EA to kick in. Although i did really enjoy playing Omega yesterday im currently feeling a bit like ive been kicked in the shins, i paid to have errors, hooray!

I had this problem on xblock after i modded my femsheps hair. Went away after i rehashed/redesigned the file again and played it from the device it was saved on.

Not sure how much this helps, just throwing it out there.

Sorry to drag this up again but I thought some would like to hear that this issue has been solved for me by Rohit at EA Customer Support, following an email:

"I have reviewed your email and found that you are getting Omega DLC authorization error. I have made the required changes on your account and entitled the dlc again. Please try again and let me know if the issue persists."

I therefore suggest those with the same issue to cite a DLC authorization error and request a re-entitlement.
