So the Aria kiss scene was a troll from Bioware?

She still has a daughter, and Ardat-Yakshi are sterile. Unless someone from Bioware comes out and says that Aria never had Liselle and just adopted her or something, she can't be an Ardat-Yakshi.

For all we know, considering how much she wanted him dead, she could have had some sick satisfaction in literally feeling him die once she connected their nervous systems. Again, seems sick, but I wouldn't put it past her.

So, either Liselle isn't really her daughter, or Aria is a freak of Asari genetics. (Or, the writers forgot their own lore... sadly my bet is this one.)  I would like the intrigue of Liselle being a cover up, but I just don't have enough faith in the story.  Maybe Bioware will shed some light on this?

I find it interesting that for some even witnessing another person committing what is essentially a snuff rape, still finds her "attractive".

To each their own.
Me I would rather have the option to shoot Aria and save Nyreen.

Bioware seems to consistently toss renegades a bone, er, I mean they get all they want in the end. Oh crap. Aria likes to make things hard, so it figures she would kiss an asterisk-hole.

But that's not the only trolling being done. In Paragon, Aria and Shepard also talk about the aftermath and what is said has relevance to what is usually said about people wanting a unicorns and bunnies ending to ME3. Aria says Shepard is like a disease making everyone go soft (oh well), but Shepard counters with statements of all that's been lost and destroyed and says that's not going soft. The point being that the same could be said of the endings if there was a real, "destroy all reapers only" ending-that's not super happy nor cheesy, considering all that has happened.

Did anyone else catch that Aria is an Ardat-Yakshi? I thought this was kind of a big deal.

Aria has a daughter, so I don't think she is.

Well when you let her kill Oleg, she does the black eye thing. Seriously, check it out. About 1:49

All Asari get black eyes when they meld with someone; Liara and Shiala get them when they meld with Shepard in ME1 and they aren't Ardat-Yakshi. Also they cannot breed yet Aria did. Personally I got the vibe she was emotionally attacking (literally) Oleg at the time.

Yeah, I ended up really liking Nyreen and her death was gratuitous and unnecessary.  In fact, she had to go all stupid in order to make it happen.  Duh, I'm scared of Adjutants so I think I'll go confront a bunch alone.  I'll show Aria.

I mean, at the end of the day, I have a lot more faith in people than BW seems to have-I can't conceive of Nyreen being that dumb because she knows her people need her.  She also knows they are not easy to kill so she confronts them and gets surrounded.  Brains, please.  Someone forgot how to use them.

I like Aria ok, but she becomes so much less deep of a character with Omega, even if she does show a tinge of concern for Nyreen.  I wish now there'd been more Shiala and less Aria in ME2 and 3.

Since it was never said otherwise, I do believe Liselle is her daughter. If they somehow twist it so that she's not... well, I'd be mighty disappointed. I still want to know more about that girl, and would have loved if she was given a mention in the DLC by either Aria or Nyreen.

Maybe there are more ways asari can hurt people through joining without being an Ardat-Yakshi? I mean, Benezia confessed that she wasn't "gentle" with the Rachni Queen, but she was trying to obtain information so it is kind of different. Who knows? It probably would have been better to just have Aria strangle him and leave out the whole "black eyes" thing. Strangling someone to death instead of shooting is bad enough.

Oh, and on topic of the kissing, I loved it. More so once I realized it's different depending on Shepard's gender. The way she moved away from dudeShep afterward was hilarious.

Mordin beat you to it

As for the Ardat-Yaksh debate, I always thought Aria was just getting off on killing the general. Nothing more.

We already know she ****ed Mordin and Nyreen on top of already having a kid.

And they seem alive. At least they were until her throat was slit and then he was shot in the back

Well, my FemShep is paragade but I admit, she was mostly renegade throughout the DLC. She hit the button to overload the reactor but not instantly. She did it when the renegade option showed up for the third time.

Hah. Not 2 seconds later you manage to fix it. I go full retard if I'm playing a Renegade in that scene. Petrovsky starts talking and before he's even finished his first sentence, BAM! button pushed.

"So General, I assume you were about to lecture me on how far I'm willing to go to help Aria here? I don't care one whit of the gutter trash that inhabits this damned rock. What I do want is massive eezo resources for the war effort and the rest of the Terminus fleets. I hope you've made yourself comfortable in Afterlife because where youre going next doesn't have cold drinks and leather furniture."

Not a fan of Aria...though I like Moss (sp?..the VA..chick from Matrix)

I was immediately turned off by Aria when you first meet her in ME2...the whole "don't eff with Aria" crap....way too over the top and corny as hell....honestly soured me to her entire character from the start.

in character my Paragon Shep just blows her off...won't stoop to that level of stupidiy. My Renegade Shepard woulda told her just how stupid she was..and even if she tried to kiss him he'd show her he's not interested with a gun..sadly since you can't do that...he'd of at least said...."you're an idiot" and walked away from her

Aria being over the top is kinda the point.

She's an eccentric megalomaniac

I always liked Aria. Her owning clubs called "Afterlife" and "Purgatory" was amusing and so in line with The Matrix: Reloaded. The Merovingian. So much was ripped off from that. Hudson is a huge Matrix fan.

if she owns purgatory then why is c-sec bugging her in her own club? and why does she hate it?

I've not seen anything that implies she owns purgatory (I don't have Omega DLC so if it's in there that's why I haven't seen it)

Mordin was reenacting a noir film (or is it a novel?).
We aren't sure about Nyreen, but it IS implied they had something between them.

Also, nice necro :D

If I had the Omega DLC, my Renegade FemShep would totally let Oleg live if she knew that kiss would happen. Not only does she hate Aria, she's firmly straight. That and her husband Garrus would be a little upset.

Ah, she confirms it? It's been a while since I've played the DLC, I wouldn't be able to say for sure. Thanks for the clarification.

Yep, she confirms it. She talks about meeting Aria and falling for her, but how it didn't do her any good and how she had to tear herself away from her again. Obviously. They're like complete opposites. But I did like the kiss at the end. I always had a thing for Aria!
