1. There were some small glitches that shouldn't have been there. Not a big deal, though.

Seriously? Considering how Aria's ENTIRE speech is glitched, and Omega no doubt went through countless test playthroughs before it was released, this suggests to me that they just didn't care since it would take little effort to fix. It is extremely noticeable, extremely distracting, and very immersion breaking.

Also, my Omega download had a much more annoying glitch, which was the sound getting washed out when I first played it - this wasn't fixed on restart, but only when I loaded from an autosave. It's this kind of crap that definitely makes it not worth 15 bucks - it was unpolished.

This. From a gameplay standpoint, Mass Effect as a series should pride itself over player immersion. The level of bugs in this DLC broke that immersive quality of the game. I'm glad I saved $15 and watched playthroughs of it on Youtube instead-- It was pretty bad seeing the same bugs across every video, regardless of platform (PC, XBOX360, and PS3 all had same bugs)

Haven't seen it, but I dislike BioWare wasting resources on frivolities like Omega when they could be fixing their broken game.

You have every right to your opinion but so does Bioware and for them the game gott fixed with " EC dlc", so no need for a fix thats allready delivered.

But it seems that a majority of people are unwilling to face this fact and stick to there guns since appearance of ME3.

What would be more interesting is what makes it so difficult for a large group of people to move on from this game and insted keep investing time in it and  venting negativity about it for months on end.

Maybe faced with a "fact" and making a appropriate choice for oneself seems to be getting replaced by groupthink, circumvents responsability as well = win/win to them.

My professor writes textbooks for colleges that teach game design. It has been established strongly within the higher education community that Mass Effect 3's writing is terrible, with or without the EC DLC. Tacking on DLC to an already ill-written game doesn't help flourish the gameplay in any way, and it shows.

For a game that relies heavily on player immersion in the plot, there are too many bugs (one of the MANY problems with the Omega DLC) that hinder a positive experience for us studying in the field to enjoy Mass Effect 3.

It's a possibility that groupthink has affected some, or maybe even most of the community members, but with or without groupthink, the DLC is still terrible from a game design standpoint.

1) People loved Mass Effect and were personally invested in the story. Unfortunately BioWare failed to understand this.

2) ME3 is not finished. They are still developing content for it.

3) BioWare have never really acknowledged the substance of what their dissatisfied customers are saying. So it will be repeated until they do.

4) Choices ought to have consequences. BW forgot that. What better way to remind them than giving them a consequence for their choice of burning down Mass Effect?

One of the greatest things a writer can receive from their fans is their devotion. The fans that have been with the series since the beginning, as in played the games in order to their fullest capacity, are devoted to the universe. You honestly think people who cosplay, write fanfics and draw art are simply going to move along when BioWare takes a dump on that series they love and invested so much emotion into without even feeling the slightest bit apologetic? When the very reasons they play BioWare games are swept out from under their feet for reasons unknown?

People this devoted are not simply going to roll over and take it like a coward. You may call it whining, but really no one gives a damn what label you give every single criticism the game rightfully earns, no amount of DLC will move the devoted along in favor of this generation of instant gratification little ****s with no patience for true story telling.

People complain because they care. They care about whats happening to the series, they care about where they're going to take it, because a work of fiction this large and beautiful doesn't deserve a fate such as Mass Effect 3.

Because ME3 turned me from playing the game into hating/talking crap about the game instead and Omega is also part of that......

Precisely. It isn't even the ending that made me dislike the new Bioware and Mass Effect 3 as a whole, it was the game itself and other BioWare titles that flopped financially and with fans that have made me committed to save my money on DLC's and other BioWare content.

Hey, with the money I saved, I was able to afford university textbooks this semester without taking out loans. NOT giving money to Bioware can actually positively benefit you in your personal life outside of video games.

Imagine that.

LotSB is grossly overrated on these forums.

I agree besides I liked the Omega DLC myself. Well worth the price than again MS points are cheap to get in Euros.

I don't hate Omega, but I didn't particularly enjoy it either. I'd say it was because it didn't develop what I felt needed to be developed (the Cerberus angle of Omega, plus non-developed aspects of the main game), while mediocrely focusing on a character I don't care for (Aria and her quest to reclaim Mogadishu).

The worst weakness of the DLC, in my view, was how the super-zombie adjuctants were changed from a potentially serious issue into a keystone army with an off-switch at conveniently the last minute.

The second worst weakness was that Nyreen was booted into just being a foil for determining whether Aria would be naughty or nice, not a viable contender for the Omega leadership.

Third? Too much Omega trash. The environments had some moments, but I got tired of looking at dirty station. Cerberus should have remodeled parts of it as a show of progress/propoganda/personal usage.

I don´t hate this DLC, but I felt underwhelmed. Probably because of all the expectations (I´m not getting tired of noting this every time I post around here :D) I had.

Also, I didn´t play it in one go, so I might enjoy it more the next time I play it. But comparing it to LotSB? No way - just thinking about all the great dialogue and the great fight with Vasir...also, you had the base at the end, with Omega you don´t even get the system :( (I mean, come on, they could have at least put in the system, couldn´t have been that hard, they already had it in ME2 -.-")
