Her story still feels largely untold. Even with the potential endings in Witch Hunt, staff have made it clear 'attempting to kill' and 'successfully killing' are not the same - not a guarantee, but an implication of further plans.

Oghren.
I love this bastard. He's a lot softer than he first looks, especially if you become his friend fast enough in Origins.

Varric.
Perhaps in an NPC role rather than as a party member, though that might mean Oghren and Varric wouldn't meant. I'd like to see the conversation between a discrete sophisticate... and Varric.

Pyral Harrowmont/Behlen Aeducan
Orzammar is close to Orlais (practically within its borders).It'd be interesting to see how Orzammar is fairing since DAO.

If you pick Harrowmont he dies in the end of dragon age origins , they say that in the ending dialouge boxes because they say people poisoned him or he had bad spirit

Seriously, I don't know why his character touched me so much. He wanted his freedom so he escaped with the rest of the Starkhaven mages, but then he got scared when things got nasty and was only too eager to return to the Circle. But then the Circle turned out even worse than before, so he threw his lot in with Grace yet again... only to regret it, yet again.

The kid's had it rough; he's like the poster child for how the Circle is just effed up. He's a good boy at heart, just used wrong by every single person around him (except Hawke ofc).

Flemeth is a given in my view.

Ummmmm Maric is very much dead , they even kinda talked about his death in the book 'The Stolen Throne' 

If Bioware decides to add in the storyline from the comics than Maric's fate is still unknown.  Check out the wiki for more info on the comics.

They also say Cullen goes completely crazy - with power, if you choose templars; with furstration, if mages. See how that went.
Most of the epilogue slides that are still valid are actually thinking in the long term (eg after many years of X, Y happens). Assuming Pyral's end is even valid, it may not have occurred yet.

Plus, my main point is to see how Orzammar is faring. That could mean Belehn's 'beneficial dictatorship'... but it could also include Pyral being dead, Belehn's supporters staging a coup, or a member of another house taking the crown.

 1. Conor Guerin.  In Dragon Age Origins, my warden let the desire demon stay inside of him so that he could have sex with her, but she only agreed to relinquish control of him until he grows up.  She will probably regain control of him by the time of DA III.

2. Morrigan, just to see how she survived getting murder knifed in witch hunt, the explanations Bioware comes up with for deceased characters returning are always a treat to listen to.

3. Wynne, I know that she died in a novel set between Dragon Age II and III, but she was host to some kind of unworldly spirit in life, so maybe she'll return as a revenant or something.

4. Anders, that was hilarious what he did to the Chantry in Kirkwall, I can't wait to see what he does next.  If nothing his else, his presence in DA III will create some "interesting" scenarios for the protagonist.

5. That one weirdo from Dragon Age II whose dad payed me to rescue from his victims' parents and keep my mouth shut about what he'd done.

And... I'm going to go with Aveline & Donnic as well, purely because I loved Aveline and what with the companions disbanding and Aveline having family roots in orlais... possibe? (Yes, I'm stretching)

In terms of companions though I'd rather completely new characters, with returning characters being the exception, not the rule .
