1. Oghren. Hes cut back on the drink slightly to make himself a good role model to his son but hes still drunk and crude enough to be awesome. I love Oghren. Hes like that crazy, drunken, axe wielding uncle I never had.
2. Bethany/ Carver Hawke and/or Charade Amell. Provided they survive their respective playthroughs and that you do not take the Gem of Keroshek off of Charade it should be feasible to have one or both of them make an appearance making reference to Hawke.
3. Nathaniel Howe. Liked him in Awakenings would have liked to have seen more of him in DA2. Hopefully him Oghren, Sigrun and Velanna can all appear as a Warden Strike force in Inquisition.
4. Herren and Wade. Simply put I like custom built superweapons like Vigilance and Golem Shell Armor. More of these please! Also because Wade and Herrens dialogue in DAO and DAA was absolutely hilarious 'Ah my one glittering, shining moment, and now I am stuck here at Turnips Keep!'
5.Loghain. If he survives I would like to see how he is progressing within the ranks of the Grey Wardens. Hell maybe try and convince him to put his general capabilities to work as a General within the Inquisition.

I will not bother mentioning Hawke or the Warden. They are more than likely to make an appearance. I only hope that if the Warden does make an appearance they either keep his/her face covered and voice muffled or they let us choose what their face looks like. I suspect it wil be the former but I expect to be pleasently surprised.

As for Hawke since I always tend towards using the default looks. I have no problem if they use Hawkes default features for either gender.

1, Isabela (and presumably Hawke), I really want to see where these two have got to, and got up to since the end of DA2, since Varric says that Isabela was the only companion to stay alongside Hawke in my DA2, so this should be good.

2. Leliana. Was a nice surprise seeing her pop up in Mark of the Assassin DLC, and I believe she'll have a lot to offer in DAI.

4. Shale. Hearing his deadpan assessments of several new chracters/environments especially the Qunari should be brilliant.
5. Bethany. The surviving Hawke sibling would be the next best thing to seeing Hawke him/herself, but of course would be great to see both.

No, not kidding. I'd much rather meet these characters and have them more fleshed out.

- I'd REALLY like to know what Owain thinks of the reversal of Tranquility, and - were it done to him how he would feel about it once he regained his emotions.

- I'd like the Ash Warriors to join my Inquisition, same with the Legion of the Dead.

I wouldn't want Bioware to go out of the way to add my favorite characters, but I would hope said characters do fit the story Bioware is trying to tell.

Loghain is dead. The taint took him; he was old when he became a warden, he couldn't survive for long. Pretty sure he died in a warden-fortress/retreat in Orlais.

1. Arishok/Stenishok: Because it would be awesome to see Qunari again, and would make a really interesting situation for the Qunarinquisitor. Sort of like the Wrex/Wreav situation, eh?

2. Alistair: He is the king! Atleast in my playthrough. And with everything going on in the world, I am SURE the king of Ferelden would have to show up. He did in DA2 for no reason, he will in DA3.

3. Anders: Stay dead this time. Sure, I romanced him in nearly every playthrough but I also killed him in nearly every playthrough... Unless my Hawke wasn't a Spirit Healer...

4. Cullen: He has got to come back! I liked him. Not a huge Cullen fangirl, but I do like him as a character.

5.  Isabela: She was hilarious in DA2 and I really liked her. Hope we see Zevran too.

Please could you provide proof that Loghains dead? I am interested to know how he died apart from you running him through on Origins. And if the proof is anything other than something the Development team of Dragon Age has put up I call shenanigans
