Unless I missed it while scanning the different forum topics, how is the gameplaying experience as a rogue, warrior or mage? I can't figure out which one has the best chances of surviving=]

In a nutshell:
Mages are by far the most efficient at killing.
A properly built warrior is better in toe-to-toe melee than a similar rogue
A properly built rogue can do massive damage, and with combat stealth is practically unkillable unless the player screws up.

Play what suites your personality best. You get 3 companions that will make up for what you lack.

Thank you ... sounds like rogue is the winner

I personally find the rogue to be the most fun, but a good wizard is by far 'easier'. Jst depends on what you are looking for in the game.

Rogue has one VERY important advantage over the others: He can pick locks immediately. For each of the origin stories, from start to Lothering, there are 20-30 locked chests or doors that only you as a Rogue have at least the faintest hope of opening. The stuff in those chests/behind those doors easily converts into @5-10 gold sovereigns. (Which, in this game, is a LOT of money.)ldymariann wrote...

Rogues are the ONLY class of character that can throw bombs. A Rogue by himself at the Climax, armed with a LOT of Fire/Shock,/Freeze/Acid/Soulrot bombs can very nearly take down the archdemon all by himself, simply by continuously lobbing bombs.
Additionally, if as a Rogue you pick every available pocket in your travels, you will garner 100+ gold worth of items and cash from game start to game end. (Just stay away from any NPC with an orange name.)
Lastly, specific to DAO, the ONLY version of Invisibility is the Rogue's Stealth skill. Get that up to tier IV and you'll be able to cross the entire map without being detected by any opponents. (There's something of a glitch in that you can leave your 3 companions at the entrance, but when you get to your destination and trigger a cutscene, your companions "teleport" to that location with no need to battle any of the Bad Guys in between.)
S.T.U.F.F. (Something That Ultimately Foils Foes) has an immense impact on how effective a character is. Better weapons, better armor, more spell components, et al, all cost money. Money is primarily gotten by picking up stuff in your travels and then selling it to merchants. If a Rogue can acquire more than the other classes, then it would seem he has an advantage over the other classes.

So far I have played Mage, Archer Rogue, DW Warrior, 2h Warrior, and am starting shield warrior.
My favorite has been the DW warrior for the versatility. Need something to die? Pop momentum and kill it faster than others. Need to offtank? no problem. Want to main-tank? Not much of an issue.
Plus he just looks so good with the DLC star sword, veshialle, and warden's commander armor.
He isn't by any means the most complicated to play, but that is one reason I like him. He can do different things, and do them all without being too fancy about it.
