That's funny, because testing done on Dark Channel + cloak shows that it does indeed apply the cloak damage bonus for the entire duration of the power. So I guess her cloak only gives a power damage bonus and not weapon damage?

This bug might be Bioware's way of using the community as unintentional playtesters. this way if the weapon damage is bugged, we should be inclined to choose duration for the sake of making the most out of this new biotic infiltrating class.

I still suspect this was done on purpose.

TC was never broken (unlike submission net on the VE). So they deliberately broke it to not make the Huntress OP.

Some more bad news for the AI ..

Dark Channel resets with each recast ... (regardless if on the same/new target) .. Spamming DC is useless ...

(dark channels from multiple players can affect the same target concurrently )

Hasn't DC always done that? You couldn't stack it with a Fury so why would it be any different with an AI?

I wasn't 100% sure so I went and tested it (ahem ...Corlist tested this one too) .  Asari Infiltrator would have more to gain if DC was spammable because her DC is stronger ... alas no such luck ...

That would be major overkill. DC is fine as it stands currently. You can speed it up some by detonating it a few times on hard targets and once shields/barriers are down cast again and walk away.

What do you mean by detonate it "a few times" !??! (Dc+ warp (BE) + warp (BE) + warp (BE) .. ? ) .. ME3 doesn't work that way ...

You can easily detonate DC with the AI's warp.

EDIT: DC > Warp > DC > Warp etc etc

Both powers have long cool downs .. The resulting BE will not be very impressive .. This also forces you to use light weapons (minimal cooldown) for low DPS ...

1 warp + a decent (heavy) weapon fire will result in vastly superiour DPS to the above combination .. Many times better if you add incendiary ammo ...

It wasn't meant to be impressive. It was meant to speed up the process of DC working its magic. Even one warp throw is worth the effort and a recast of DC and warp again is not that much time. You can still shoot at the target while waiting for the cooldown which isn't that bad.

Let's not try and make a clone of reave here. DC is unique and works surprisingly well once you get used to it.

since it only works on powers for now... I either
DC>>>shoot>>>TC>>>Warp
or
TC>>>DC>>>shoot>>>warp

since she is a biotic and both powers are meant to shave off life, I use the collector SMG and acolyte for the recharge time.

IIRC when DC jumps to another target you can detonate it again, which should speed combos up

Maybe they intended it to be like you describe .. In practice in a 4 player game - stuff will move//die + DC poison is such a slow killer - it is next to impossible to keep track of DC's jumps//currently "infected" target   ...

That's my experience as well, and I swear that it has a maximum distance that an enemy needs to be within in order to jump, otherwise it just fizzles out.  I don't ever seem to see it kill anything, or find it on anything, if there were no enemies within range of it's previous victim.

I am genuinely surprised at peoples' surprise in BioWare not responding to this immediately. I just assumed it was common knowledge that BioWare is, at best, inconsistent in responding to game bugs. There have been many bugs in this game which it took them many months to respond to and fix. Some have never received a response and are still in the game. I'm not sure why people still expect a prompt and complete response to issues from BioWare. Based on past behavior, this just isn't realistic.

I don't think it's THAT hard to keep track of.  And it's effectiveness in team play really depends on the play style of your team.  If you're speed running, DC probably isn't the best power.  If your team takes more time to set things up and run a strategy, it can be very effective.

It definitely has a range limit outside of which it won't jump to a new target.  I'm not sure what this range actually is (8 meters maybe?), but you're absolutely right that it won't jump to a target that isn't within range of the last target.

This is far from a garbage class, it is only so if you try to play her like a Valkyrie.
Try to go up close with a Reegar and warp and you WILL be disappointed, the Valkyrie does it better.

You have to play her like an infiltator-adept hybrid.
Infiltrator for utility, flanking objectives, or boost Dark Channel into overkill.
DC is not meant to take down bosses in 3 seconds, and this character is not explicitly built to do so. It *can* with warp, but another class already does that better.

Is this a bad character? Nah, nope, its no immediate boss-melter. Sorry that she is not as overpowered as all of you were hoping, but since when is taking down banshees in one clip with a Reegar the standard?

They have responded and acknowledged most (all?) of the other bugs with these once a week kits (extra Character cards, subnet, walking speed).  The total silence on this one does seem out of place on how they have been responding to issues that have come up with the once a week releases.

Yes, Bioware has made weapons rule all in ME3.  But some of us still prefer space magic to gun spam.  :wizard:

i dont think it's broken...reason being: i just looked at the other infils, and the last evo choice for them specify a certain weapon damage bonus....while on her, it just says power damage...which would explain why it gives a bonus to powers and not weapons (which has been confirmed)...as much as people dont wanna accept it, even though she is an infil, weapons on her are secondary...

I agree that for a couple weeks they did appear more responsive than on average.  Is that enough to make people forget how unresponsive they've been to issues in the past?

Also, the Blade Armor bug got a token "we'll look into it" response, followed by nothing more.  Would you prefer this to nothing at all?
