When the Vorcha Engineer was released a couple weeks ago, he had the old pre-buff Submission Net. His powers weren't exactly "bugged" but he had an old weaker version of SN.MikeSlackenerny wrote...
I was reading some of the earlier posts in this thread and came across mention of a bug on the Vorcha Engineer. Can someone please briefly explain what that is? I did a quick search but didn't seem to find anything.
The Huntress cloak is broken and not giving its weapon damage boost *sigh*

he had pre buff submission net and I think the freeze combo on incinerate is broken.
Thanks! (And to Javo too!)
To learn about these things is truly, depressing.

Yeah...the Vorcha was easily fixed but I seriously hope the Huntress can be fixed without a patch.MikeSlackenerny wrote...

It's strong but not overtly strong...just play it enjoy it etc. it's not liek it's got a speedy power basis though ya know and it's powers clash with TC a tad (In recharge not synergy) cause unlike a normal TC user it DOES concern about weight
and this 1 char a week also helps finding bugs in a manage speed isntead of sudden all at once ya know

cause it's more than 1 department and "time" strains just give it a tadmore time EA/BW/MP devs/Bug Devs etc. all have to communicate and take time of priorities

If you ask me, the bugs ARE priorities, but they're never addressed as such.

But well, this thread makes me really happy - it means I found her okay with a close-to-useless cloak and once its fixed she will be awesome.
Can't you guys think of your games with her, and if you liked her already a bit, then you will love her once this is fixed.

*sigh* So yeah.................
On the upside though....once they do fix this....she will be the most powerful damage dealing biotic in the game.

Yeah, after a good week or two.

It's hard to tell if it's fixable via the weekly balance changes. The Coalesced doesn't have a variable for TC that tells it what to give the damage bonus to, and it's unknown if it'll be fixable by some other method(and I can't really test to see if it is fixable). I'd probably put it at 50/50 odds right now, unless a Bioware employee comments on it.

Something tells me it'll require a patch. If they can't fix blade armour damage on gold/platinum using a weekly fix, the chances are they can't fix this either.

It's a bit different from Blade Armour from a technical standpoint, but I am slightly leaning in that directly, mainly because TC's damage modifier does actually work, it's just not being applied to everything that it's supposed to be.
Given that there isn't a variable that tells TC what it can and can't give the bonus to, that may prove to be problematic.
If it's not possible, a band-aid fix could be to give her the normal Tactical Cloak in the meantime. This does of course mean giving up the 25% power damage evo, however.

I'm guessing that "band aid" fix is possible because the original TC exists in the retaliation files because of the drell infiltrator having it?
I know blade armour is inversely applying the difficulty modifier to its damage returned, for gold / platinum, but was I right in my assumption that wont be fixable without a patch either, or could the inverse numbers simply be made into negatives, e.g. "inversely" applying -3.0 instead of 3.0 for platinum could fix it, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

The Coalesced files share information with each other(or my guess is just that the game compiles them into one meta Coalesced at launch) so you'd be able to do it regardless. The Retaliation files don't even have TC in it, it just has the values for evo 6 of both the Turian Cloak and the Asari Cloak.
Blade Armour is dividing by the difficulty modifier, so you'd probably just end up healing them since the final number would still be negative. In theory you could turn the thorns % up so high that it reflect the proper amount of damage, but you'd only ever be able to get it right on one difficulty, and it would be hilariously overpowered on anything lower.
