1st problem: I can find a way to get to the Dead Trenches (i think they are called that) from the crossroads. The icon on the map wont unlock and its getting annoying.

Any help?Image IPB

2nd Problem: I've only unlocked a few of the specialities and i cant find the books (or characters) that unlock the rest of them. I've unlocked the Shapeshifter, Healer, Templar, Bard and one other and possibly the Beserker if i can get the dwarf guy to talk in camp.

Where do i find access to other specialities like Arcane Warrior, reaver, champion etc? Cos my characters are Level 12-13 and i want to make Morrigan and Wynne arcane warriors so they can actually get stuck in the fighting as well (as opposed to using up all my injury kits).

3rd Problem: This may be a bug (although i dont think i had unlocked the camp at level 7) but, at level 7, i didnt get a speciality point. Has this happened to anyone? Is there another level higher than level 14 where the main character gets a speciality point?Image IPB

Answers to these questions would be spoilers. You may notice that the the name of this board contains, in large capital letters, the words "NO SPOILERS ALLOWED". Putting 'possible spoilers' in your thread title des not make posting spoilers here ok.

the arcane warrior is in the temple if you do the danish elf quest. In one of the room there will be a gem that will teach to be an Arcane Warrior. The Duelist is a women in the Pearl. Play cards with her and she might teach you her ways

so asking for someone to tell you how to unlock specialities is 'unspoiled' common sense???

take your own advice, register your game, and post in the proper forum.

oh and sloth of doom, how am i supposed to know what is considered a spoiler?

even if someone tells you were to get, say the book for the Bard spec, you would still need to find it!

and you would get on a lot better if you actually had some manners and talked properly instead of insulting the TC and been a general ass

Anything that deals with the story aspects of the game, deals with NPCs and their background, anything that isn't specifically and focused to the basic game mechanics of DA is a spoiler.

Come on...it's a SPOILER if it SPOILS part of the game.  What if I didn't even want to know if there was a "book for the Bard spec".  Just because you put *possible Spoilers* in your heading, doesn't mean it's okay to post in a form that clearly states "NO SPOILERS ALLOWED"  Go argue in the mirror....

Well, I don't know about you guys, but my topic heading says:

Forum Home » Dragon Age: Origins » Official Campaign Quests and Storylines (Spoilers Warning)

And the first sticky says don't read in the forum if you don't want spoilers. It does NOT say, no spoilers here. This means that spoilers ARE allowed, no?

The topic got shifted, so if the OP hasn't had his game registered (or has a pirate copy) they are shafted

this was initially posted in the 'general discussions' forum (which is the reason for everyone diving in saying, "shhhh").  a mod must have moved it.

If by crossroads you mean Caridin's Cross, you need to go to the Ortan Thaig first, kill various things and find other things. There's an entrance to the Dead Trenches there.

2nd Problem: Where do i find access to other specialities like Arcane Warrior, reaver, champion etc?

Some specialisations can be learned from trainers, but there are also books around that will let you learn them (for a hefty price). Arcane Warrior can only be learned in a particular place, while doing the main quest in the Brecilian Forest. Champion is similar, it is unlocked while doing the Redcliffe main quest. And Reaver too, at Haven while doing the Sacred Ashes quest. Each not only requires being there, you have to make certain choices or they won't unlock. Read here:

dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Specializations

3rd Problem: This may be a bug (although i dont think i had unlocked the camp at level 7) but, at level 7, i didnt get a speciality point. Has this happened to anyone? Is there another level higher than level 14 where the main character gets a speciality point?

It sounds like a bug, though I've never heard of it. You get one specialisation point at level 7, and another at level 14. That's it. If you didn't, that probably means reloading - or using a cheat to get the missing point. If so, I don't know one, but I'm sure they're out there.

Darn, sorry for the double post, was doing one thing while responses came up and didn't see them. In that case, I apologise guys, I didn't know that it had been moved. My bad.
