it depends on the protagonist i play, my warden mage would have chosen mages without a doubt, my human noble would probably have chosen templars, my elf would maybe have ignored both sides and went her own way if the choice was there, hawke would have sided mages, because either she was a mage or bethany was so that would make her not want to hurt people like her sister, if our protagonist is templar related then i guess my protagonist would side templars.

I sympathize with mages. The way they are forced to live and persecuted because of the threat of what a few can become or what a select few choose to do with their power is unfair.

Definitely mages. As soon as I have had my fill of AC3, I am going to TRY my very first pro-templar playthrough. I have tried before and failed to make it as I just feel so wrong in everything I do.
