Both
They both have compelling cases, and both have saints and sinners on their side.

Can't they all just get along? Mages and templars together dancing a jig while holding a pint? Sounds good to me, but honestly it depends on the character that I am playing as to what side I support.

I'm on my side.
Which means I don't give a damn what they do as long as my PC gets to settle down with their LI somewhere in a small cottage in the countryside at the end of the game.

Considering that 99 percent of all the mages I ran into in DA2 turned out to be blood mages, I will support the templars all the way.

Depends on if the rever spec is a back ground. If so then my cannon charater will be a reaver who stands on the middel ground. I always wanted to RP a kind hearted reaver who was raised in dragon worship. He would feel the mages pain being not a normal human but yet also know the power of blood magic and its dangers.

While I think that the circles are a necessary evil, I heartily dislike how much influence the Chantry and it's beliefs seem have in the political systems. Sooo, Mages.

Neither - I'm pro-sanity (Pro-Reform)
The templars need to be secular - the Circle needs to be rebuilt (but definitely not abolished)
I truly hope there's an option to wipe out Fascist Templars and Revolutionary Mages alike.

I'd rather be the ones pulling the strings in this little puppet show. The Mages and Templars are merely Extras in this play, and extras can be replaced.
So the Inquisitors.

I'm some how reminded of Book of Mages: The Dark Times. The point of the game is to become head mage, during the game there's a war. If you're on one side of the war, you can win the war for your side and become head mage. But if you've refused to pick a side through out the whole game, you crash the party fighting both sides of the war and say "hey, I'm stoping you".Robhuzz wrote...
Mages, as long as they keep from using blood magic as I hate that.
But seriously though: I'd rather play a character who refuses to take sides in the conflict. Character that doesn't get involved in a fight that isn't his/hers FTW!
