Personally, I would choose the Templar between those two options. :/

I don't want to pick a side... Both can be just as bad as each other. Can't we have a middle ground? I really hope we can in DA3.

Bioware has suggested that the mage/templar conflict will take the back seat too a conflict with the demons of the fade, and I for one, warmly welcome our demonic overlords.

You must choose! Loyalty to your country, or loyalty to yourself.

^^

Also, I care not for picking a side. They both have glaring faults, and neither interest me.

You lack the ability? You mean you don't know how to make one or you're banned from the section?

It's bloody obvious that most players will go with the "helpless and oppressed" mages, this thread serves little purpose.

He blew up a goddamned church! There are fewer more stereotypically evil acts.

So what? Whats a church, but another building?

It is pretty much blowing up a bus full of nuns.

I see the mages as being picked on by the Templar/Chantry bullies so they need my help.Ask any real life ex what happens when I stare into big brown eyes.Cassandra in DA:2 had great eyes, but so do my spoiled beagles. So unless the art department gets a wild hair and changes her eyes Mages will lose if she's around.

I pick the macaroni-'n-cheese.  Much more thematically consistent.

I never play a templar. Ever. Unless it's Alistair, and that's only when I need to switch control to him, so that I can tell him what to do, and to stop him from doing something stupid. I've played 2 mages and 0 Templars (0 Berserkers and Guardians, also, for that matter). Why? Because they're boring religious nuts, and there's really no need for a templar's talents, because they aren't the only ways to deal with mages. Also, there will always be better talents, than those that focus on hindering and dispelling magic.

In short, I would definitely choose the magi's side.

Well, they should have been white, instead of brown, in the first place - because the Seekers' symbol is of the Nevarran Dragon Hunters, who happen to be Cassandra's ancestors. She is more-or-less of royal blood.

I am not for the Mages simply for the sake of freedom or power. But I am against the Templars, since they repress the flow and development of knowledge, especially for the arcane arts.

So, I guess that puts me on the side of the Pride demon with the best offer.
