Like does anyone else think Dark Souls could have been awesome (even more awesome) if it were set to a classic rock soundtrack?

Play one of them with Spec Ops: The Line soundtrack. The game has a great rock soundtrack, not sure if it's progressive rock or post rock, either way it has heavy guitar's.

I'm scared of buying this game due to it being infamously hard.
Is there item hoarding? Character customisation? Free roam? Plenty of customisation? Huge variety of enemies? Good lore? Interesting world?
I read you can trick players by making little warnings about a secret treasure only to lead them towards a death trap?
Last time I played a Japanese game was Final Fantasy 13. Not making that mistake again.
